SMALL AXE RUFF NECK POSSE WAIHEʻE, MAUI, HAWAII Walking bag of talent. Small axe is phemomenal to see live with a band, but on the mic? Bro, it’s whatever word you use that describes phenonmenal. What wound up being a random thing is I saw this dude a grip of times while on Oahu with Kapu System, heard some new productions over by Shadows and it just so happened he was back on Maui same day as I was to do Wai Bar as well. Things line up sometimes randomly. Anyways, back in 2024 oddly enough, he had the test press of Run Dem Mouth and performed it for the first time while I ran the riddim. This song means a lot as I described in Woozy’s portraits. Shit came to me at this wild time in my life. Within a year after I left that song TOOK TF OFF along with his musical career. It brings me immense joy to watch a rise of anyone with pure talent. I’m glad the secret got out and hope it goes even farther. Axe is kind of a work horse with productions and song output. It’s wild for someone to be like that and at the same time be like “I don’t really care I’m just doing my thing. Respect is full. TRUMMY KAPU SYSTEM/RUFF NECK POSSE/VALLEY ROCKERS KALIHI, OAHU, HAWAII Trummy has supported what im doing over here 5,000 miles away for almost a decade. I saw homie play three times over there. Ive been wanting to see him run it in person for some years now. Im glad that happened. Man is a WICKED drummer. Tight and in the pocket. Trummy has welcomed me both times with open arms. “ALI BABA!” His son Ijah is cool same way. Man gonna grow up confident and solid. He’s doin a good job with that kid. Hung out with him up in Shadows studio. Thats where those photos are from My first time on Oahu there was some background noise that wouldn’t allow me to relax fully. Immediately all that shit went away when we linked. Give thanks for the vibes fully. Unfortunately the portraits I got didn’t develop good and my angle was off. Me him and his son went out for Poke and cruised for a couple hours. I had my cameras on me but I was in the moment kickin it and talkin about Oahu and Hawaiian things that I didn’t think to snap one there. Those the things that really matter above all else Mahalo Nui big dog. SHADOW HQ/ISLAND PULSE/CYCLE CITY HONOLULU, OAHU, HAWAII 05/2026
