“NO-FOLK. Hacking the Vernacular” is on view at T.nua as part of “A T.NUA Exhibition 02”.
The exhibition is an output of the research project conducted by Vitelli between Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 for T.NUA Craftsmanship Program. The project brought into dialogue Nepali weavers and Italian knitters on the matter of textile manipulation, exploring the theme of vernacular as a hidden code between embodied knowledge and computational intelligence.

This new craft study involved many people for the course of one year💚 @t.nua_collective team Tao Kulczycki, Valentina and Claudio @ornaghiprestinari thank you for inviting me and Vitelli to this journey and for conceiving and funding the project, thanks Siddartha Arts Foundation for the help during the residency.

Thanks Shyam Badan Shreshta and Maya and their team Arugna, Sunita, Juna, Jayanti, Samita for opening their door to a free-flow experimentation on fiber-based hand weaving. Shyam Badan has spent over 40 years advancing women’s livelihoods by teaching traditional fiber weaving across Nepal. In 1984, she founded the @nepalknotcraftcentre with just a three women practice, gradually becoming a pioneer in Nepal’s craft landscape, working with communities, especially women in remote regions, to strengthen skills such as knotting, twining, and coiling. She laid the foundation for a nationwide movement that involves now hundreds of artisans.

Thanks Giulia and Nicola for leading endless sessions of machine programming and yarn testing at Rimaglio workshop in Milan. @rimaglio approaches knitwear as a space for material exploration using a language of precision and subversion. The studio functions as a place of constant dialogue between technology and manufacturing, and techniques of the past and possibilities of the future.

In the last months I developed with @consinee_group a method for regenerating cashmere leftover fibers into new yarns♻️ it’s a matter of technology, craft and styling, and it is POSSIBLE

This regenerative production process is conceived to be industrial, scalable, and it can transform premium quality wastage into new luxury products.

Vitelli X Consinee “The New Regeneration” project was hosted at @pittiuomo_official where we had the opportunity to show the development of @vitelli_official as a platform for regenerative design, and I am more and more proud of such achievements as we’re challenging the responsible fashion industry to new levels 💚

Honored to teach a “master class” at @sanpatrignano about my practice and my personal path…it’s been a great experience specially after my speech was over and the Q&A began, when I had the opportunity to answer to the most honest and creative questions about what I do, and why and what for…I will remember and treasure everything I could learn from each conversation…I’m sharing this for anybody to acknowledge the existence of a place where a craft family keeps fighting each day one of the hardest fights together…and craft is a way🪐thank you @textile_sanpatrignano @wallpaper_sanpatrignano for your hospitality and thank you so much @barbaraguarducci for inviting me!!! and Sara @saramaino_ for making this happen…Viva❤️ by @simionatomauro

“Reflecting on the title dilemma, the mirroring installation designed by @victoria_salomoni takes the entire in-store room, under a cluster of glowing shrooms 🔮🍄 each mirror holds a different bending degree, twisting the image of the self and questioning the nature of a retail experience as much as the semantic of ones ‘fitting’🦋🔮

The dis-play will be on view for two weeks, along the Vitelli knitwear and doomboh items selected by Slam Jam for this first drop”
