Thanks to @playtomic

for creating such a fun and welcoming space for people to connect. 💙

Our very first padel date as Team @simunye_community was one for the books! Last month we conquered the trails together on our hike, and this month we stepped onto the padel court for another unforgettable experience.

From day one, our vision has been about building a genuine sense of community where people can connect, move, grow, and create meaningful memories together. Watching that vision come to life, one activity at a time, is truly the most rewarding part of the journey.

Here’s to many more adventures together. 🤍🏔️🎾

Simunye means “We are One” in isiZulu. It isn’t just our name…it’s our purpose. 🧡🧡💛💛❤️❤️💚💚🩷🩷🩵🩵💜💜🤎🤎💙💙🤍🤍🩶🩶🖤🖤

It represents unity, belonging, support, and the belief that no one should have to walk through life alone. 🤍🤍🤍

Today marks three months since I made the decision to start Simunye Netball Community, and what an incredible journey it has been.🏐🏐🏐

What began with just seven members has grown into a community of more than 20 amazing individuals. While our numbers have grown, what makes me most proud is our consistency. From day one, we’ve continued to show up for one another, creating a space built on commitment, encouragement, and genuine connection.🧡🧡🧡

“Simunye” means “We are One” in isiZulu, and that simple phrase carries the heart of everything we stand for. Our vision has always been to create a sense of belonging where people can connect, grow, stay active, and become part of something bigger than themselves.❤️❤️❤️

Over the past three months, our Wednesday evenings have become more than just netball practice—they’ve become a space to unwind, recharge, laugh, and support one another after the demands of everyday life. As our community continues to grow, we’re excited to expand into other activities such as padel, hiking, running, wellness initiatives, and more.🩷🩷🩷

As a fully registered NPO, we are committed to creating a positive impact both on and off the court. We welcome sponsorships and partnerships that align with our vision of empowering people through sport, promoting healthy lifestyles, and supporting initiatives that uplift the communities we serve.💛💛💛

To every member who has believed in this vision, shown up consistently, and helped build this family—thank you. This is only the beginning.
💙💙💙
Here’s to many more memories, milestones, friendships, and opportunities to grow together.🩵🩵🩵

Whether you’re picking up a netball for the very first time or you’re an experienced player looking for a new home, there’s a place for you here.🩵🩵🩵

Meet the Founder: Siyavuya aka @stylecandyofficial ✨

Behind every great community is a vision, and behind Simunye Netball Community is a passion for bringing people together through sport, wellness, and belonging.🏐🏐🏐

What began as a netball player participating in corporate wellness programs soon evolved into a leadership journey. From coordinating sports teams to building and managing successful communities, Siyavuya discovered that his true purpose extended beyond playing the game—it was about creating spaces where people could connect, grow, and thrive.🏀🏀🏀

Originally from the Eastern Cape and having spent much of his youth in Cape Town, his wellness journey began in the gym and expanded into a lifestyle built around movement, health, and self-development. Whether it’s running, netball, swimming, hiking, dancing, golf, or simply encouraging others to embrace active living, he believes that sport has the power to transform lives.🤍🤍🤍

After relocating to Johannesburg, Siyavuya founded Simunye Netball Community—named after the phrase “We Are One.” The vision was simple yet powerful: to build a community where people feel seen, supported, and connected through their shared love for the game.💜💜💜

Beyond sport, he is passionate about giving back. Through his volunteer work with CHAPS, he contributes to improving community health and recently qualified as an HIV Tester and Counsellor, further strengthening his commitment to wellness both on and off the court.🩷🩷🩷

For Siyavuya, Simunye has never been just about netball. It is about building community, creating a sense of belonging, and leaving a legacy that inspires people to invest in their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.💚💚💚

Welcome to the heart behind Simunye. 💙🏐

Success is never built overnight.🏀🤍🏀🤍🏀

It’s built through early mornings, late evenings, sacrifices, setbacks, victories, and countless moments where giving up seemed easier than carrying on. 🏀🏀🏀

What started as a fun way to enjoy the game has become a movement rooted in passion, discipline, and community. Every drop of sweat, every lesson learned, and every challenge overcome has helped shape who we are today.🏀🏀🏀

We’re not just building great netball players—we’re building a culture of belonging, accountability, and excellence.🏀🏀🏀

The dream is big, but so is the heart behind it.

The journey continues. 🏐❤️🏐
