Thanks to @playtomic for creating such a fun and welcoming space for people to connect. 💙

Our very first padel date as Team @simunye_community 🤍🤍🤍was one for the books! Last month we conquered the trails together on our hike, and this month we stepped onto the padel court for another unforgettable experience.

From day one, our vision has been about building a genuine sense of community where people can connect, move, grow, and create meaningful memories together. Watching that vision come to life, one activity at a time, is truly the most rewarding part of the journey.

Here’s to many more adventures together. 🤍🏔️🎾

Three months ago, I took a leap of faith and started Simunye Netball Community with nothing more than a vision and the hope of bringing people together through sport.🩷🩷

We started as just seven members. Today, we are a family of more than 20, and every single person who has joined this journey has become part of something truly special.🤍🤍

Simunye means “We are One” in isiZulu. It isn’t just our name…it’s our purpose. It represents unity, belonging, support, and the belief that no one should have to walk through life alone. We wanted to create more than a netball team; we wanted to build a community where people feel seen, valued, encouraged, and inspired to become the best version of themselves. Over the past 3 months, our Wednesday evenings have become a safe space.A place where we can leave behind the pressures of work and everyday life, laugh together, challenge ourselves, celebrate one another, and simply breathe. The friendships we’ve built and the memories we’ve created have reminded us that sometimes the greatest victories happen long before the final whistle.🩵🩵

This is only the beginning. Our dream is to continue growing beyond the court by creating opportunities for people to connect through activities like padel, hiking, running, wellness events, & community outreach. We believe that healthy communities are built through meaningful relationships, shared experiences, and showing up for one another.💜💜

As a fully registered NPO, we are excited about the opportunity to partner with organisations and sponsors who believe in the power of sport to change lives and strengthen communities. Together, we hope to create opportunities that leave a lasting impact on the people we serve.💛💛

To every person who believed in this vision, joined our journey, attended a training session, shared a word of encouragement, or simply supported us from afar…thank you. You are the reason @simunye_community continues to grow.💚💚

Three months down, a lifetime of purpose ahead. Here’s to building a legacy of unity, hope, friendship, and community…one Wednesday, one game, and one person at a time. Simunye Netball Community. We are One. Always. 🤍🏐🤍

Meet Siyavuya, Founder of @simunye_community ✨

Driven by a passion for wellness, sport, and bringing people together, Siyavuya founded Simunye with one vision in mind—to create a community where everyone feels they belong.🏀🏀🏀

From his early days participating in corporate wellness programs to building one of Johannesburg’s growing netball communities, his journey has always been rooted in service, leadership, and active living. Beyond the court, he volunteers in community healthcare and recently qualified as an HIV Tester and Counsellor.🏐🏐🏐

His mission remains simple: use sport as a vehicle to inspire healthier lifestyles, meaningful connections, and lasting impact.🤍🤍🤍

Because Simunye is more than a team—we are one. 💙🏐💙
