And thanks to all the haters! 😂 Y'all really keep me going when I get tired

But seriously! I'm so honored to announce that Indigenous Futures Canada will be bringing together dozens of partners in 2025, not only to address the needs of Indigenous business, creatives, and entrepreneurs. But we will be forever changing the landscape of available opportunities.

Halifax! Our plan is to 100x the number of connections and opportunities available to indigenous entrepreneurs, businesses, students and creatives, in the next year.

I can't wait to share with you what we are building! by @sipdisco

Don't worry though, as long as you feel guilty you're not responsible and if you don't feel guilty then you're not responsible either.

Every year I get to spend a week or two in Kanderstag. Words can't express the experience of calm and vastness of the Alps. Something about sitting and writing at Berghotel Schwarenbach in the Gemmipass, where Goethe sat and wrote over 200 years ago, I'm struck by something profound.

As I wade through Mark Fishers PhD, I'm brought back to Anti-Oedipus, and back to Goethe. What an unbelievable time of deeply grounding interconnected synchronous boundary dissolving wonder. To write here, to read here, to feel so hooked in, compelled to allow history to flow through my pen.

"Here locates a virtual desiring machine that expands into a vast plane immanently, circularly connecting back through me into God and into the past and into my mother, who is the Virgin Mary you know."

Mastering financial literacy relies on three core pillars: proactive budgeting, automating your savings, and understanding compound interest.

1. Build a Proactive Budget

Track cash flow: Log every dollar coming in and going out.

Use the 50/30/20 rule: Allocate 50% to needs, 30% to wants, and 20% to savings.

Identify spending leaks: Pinpoint recurring subscription fees you no longer use.

2. Automate Your Savings

Pay yourself first: Set up automatic transfers to savings on payday.

Build emergency funds: Aim to accumulate 3 to 6 months of living expenses.

Remove human friction: Prevent impulse spending by moving money automatically.

3. Leverage Compound Interest

Start investing early: Give your money maximum time to grow exponentially.

Understand the rule: Earn interest on your principal plus accumulated interest.

Minimize high-interest debt: Pay off credit cards immediately to avoid negative compounding. by @sipdisco
