I made beef AND shrimp tacos because choosing one felt like unnecessary suffering 😂🌮

Juicy fillings, crunchy slaw and that avocado drizzle… please, how many are you eating? 🔥

Recipe:

Season steak and shrimp with garlic, paprika, cumin, oregano, chilli, salt, pepper and oil. Sear separately until cooked; rest the steak before slicing.

Blend avocado, plain yoghurt, lime and salt for the crema. Mix chopped tomatoes, onion, chilli and coriander for the salsa.

Warm your tortillas, load with cabbage, beef or shrimp, salsa, crema and pickled onions. Finish with lime and enjoy 😊

Save this for your next taco night 🤍

The taste of this food almost made me lose my mind! 😩🔥 The tender lamb, rich gravy, coconut rice and sweet plantain? 😋

Caribbean-Style Oxtail Sauce (I used Lamb Shank for this recipe)

Ingredients:
Lamb shanks, rice, coconut milk, kidney beans, butter beans, plantain, onion, spring onion, garlic, ginger, Scotch bonnet, thyme, bay leaves, allspice, paprika, soy sauce, tomato paste, beef stock, oil, salt and black pepper.

For the slaw: cabbage, carrot, mango, red onion, lime, olive oil and honey.

Recipe:
Season and brown the lamb. Sauté onion, garlic, ginger and spring onion, then stir in tomato paste. Add stock, thyme, bay leaves and Scotch bonnet. Return the lamb, cover and simmer until tender. Add butter towards the end and reduce the gravy.

Cook rice with coconut milk, kidney beans, butter beans, spring onion, garlic, thyme, allspice and Scotch bonnet.

Fry sliced ripe plantain until golden. Toss the slaw ingredients with lime, olive oil and honey.

Plate up, pour on that gravy and enjoy! 🤤🤍
