“Don’t let what other people think take space in your mind.” — Jill Ruggiero

What an inspiring morning at SPW’s No Limits Leadership for Middle School Girls at Radnor Middle School! Students connected with women leaders for a morning of confidence, resilience, career exploration, and taking action.

🎤 “You’ve got this! - Stress, confidence and taking care of YOU!” Main speaker Tracy Davidson, keynote speaker, TEDX presenter, and storyteller, shared an empowering message about managing stress, building confidence, and recognizing the power each young woman already has within her.

💡 Some key lessons from the morning:
• Confidence comes from taking action.
• Everyone starts at zero.
• Don’t be afraid to raise your hand or get it wrong.
• Asking questions helps us grow.
• Failure is feedback, not a definition of who you are.
• Don’t give others’ opinions more space than they deserve.

An important message shared by SPW Executive Director Vibha Agrawal: If every book in a bookstore were the same, it would be pretty boring. Focus on writing your own story instead of comparing it to everyone else’s.

Our panel of women leaders shared their own career journeys, challenges, lessons learned, and advice with students, demonstrating that careers rarely follow a perfectly straight path.

Moderated by Vibha, the panel featured Sydney Ludwig Grims, Fearless Restaurants; Jill Ruggiero, UnitedHealthcare; Tania Sherrill, Firstrust Bank; Laura Kasper, Monarch Staffing & Girls Spark; and Gina Ebersole, Main Line Health.

Students asked questions, explored career possibilities, and connected with professionals across a variety of industries.

Thank you to Tracy Davidson, our panelists, the faculty and staff at Radnor Middle School, our sponsors, and everyone who made this meaningful morning possible. We’re proud to help young women see themselves as future leaders and remind them there are truly No Limits to what they can achieve.

What a morning!✨

Last Thursday, The Society of Professional Women welcomed 150+ attendees to The Inn at Villanova for “The Audacity Advantage: How Bold Leaders Own the Room and Lead the Conversation” with the amazing Dethra Giles.

Dethra brought so much energy, insight, and wisdom to the SPW stage. Her message reminded us that audacity isn’t just about taking risks. It’s about having the conversations leadership requires. Through her DARE™ model, she challenged us to describe, acknowledge, review, and engage with clarity and intention.🎤

💡One takeaway that will stick with us: “Your voice tells the room how to treat you.” Dethra reminded us that leadership is not just a title, it’s how we show up, communicate, and make our presence known.

We were proud to recognize the Women’s Resource Center as our featured nonprofit. Thank you to Comcast Business for the $1,000 grant, and to Jody Hagemann and Elizabeth Monroe for celebrating this partnership. 💜

A special thank you to our Champion Sponsor, Firstrust Bank, and Tania Sherrill for sharing a few words, and to Charles Waterman of Gold Sponsor Closets by Design for introducing Dethra and supporting SPW and the Chamber.

We also had a few exciting moments to celebrate! We officially unveiled our new SPW website, built around the message “You Belong Here.” A huge thank you to SPW Gold Sponsor @pinebranding_ for their incredible partnership and work helping bring the next chapter of SPW to life.

💻 Visit our website at SPWMainLine.com!

And a special shoutout to the team at Pictures By Todd for capturing the morning and introducing a new way for attendees to receive their event photos through a QR code. We’re excited to offer this at select SPW events! 📸

🎟️ Looking ahead, we’re excited to welcome Tracy Davidson to the SPW stage on October 22 for an inspiring conversation on confidence, courage and clarity. Use code SPWFALL10 for 10% off registration through the end of September!

Thank you to all of our sponsors, featured in our collage, for making experiences like this possible. And thank you to everyone who joined us. You Belong Here.💜 taken in The Inn at Villanova University by @spwmainline

🎉 What an incredible turnout yesterday for SPW’s Summer Special: “Let’s Not Make This Awkward - The Art of Professional Networking”!

140 attendees packed into Radnor Valley Country Club for a sold-out, high-energy session with Sean Hand, Executive Business Development Coach & Author — and we truly leaned into the “awkward” theme. 😄

Instead of assigned seating, attendees drew numbers to find their table — meaning everyone sat with someone new. No hiding with your work bestie here!

Sean’s strategies were pure gold:
✅ Come prepared with questions, not just answers
✅ Know your audience before you walk in the room
✅ Follow up — the relationship starts after the conversation ends
✅ And his silver bullet icebreaker: “Have you been on any vacations recently?” — simple, low-stakes, and it works every time!

SPW Executive Director Vibha Agrawal highlighted the importance of the role that The Main Line Chamber of Commerce and SPW play in convening the region’s business community, noting “we bring people together because we know growth doesn’t happen in isolation — it happens in rooms exactly like this one, when people show up, listen, and invest in each other.”

The energy was contagious, and the lessons didn’t stay theoretical for long — we put them straight into practice at happy hour on the beautiful patio, putting names to faces and turning strangers into connections.

Thank you to Tania Sherrill, Firstrust Bank for sharing remarks as SPW’s Champion sponsor; Dave and Sheryl Williams, from Gold sponsor CinemaCake Filmmakers for introducing our speaker; Laura McAnulty, M.A., CCC-SLP, Neurodiversity Employment Network of Philadelphia, for the event sponsorship, and to all our incredible sponsors for making this event possible. 💜

Thanks, Sean, for an unforgettable session. Here’s to fewer awkward handshakes and more meaningful conversations!

What an incredible afternoon at our Lunch & Share Event, Create a Strategy to Cure Your Overwhelm Culprit™ presented by Corrie LoGiudice at Triple Crown Restaurant at The Radnor Hotel! We were thrilled to welcome so many inspiring business leaders for learning, connection, and meaningful conversation.

SPW Executive Director Vibha Agrawal opened the program by reflecting on SPW’s mission to advance equity, strengthen the business community, and support local nonprofits, while highlighting this year’s impact — from our sold-out Women’s History Month event to our volunteer day with Variety and upcoming Radnor Middle School mentorship.

Our featured presentation, “Create a Strategy to Cure Your Overwhelm Culprit™,” led by Corrie LoGiudice, gave attendees practical tools to identify the root causes of overwhelm and create actionable strategies for growth. Corrie’s honesty, vulnerability, and framework around the 5 C’s — Clarity, Confidence, Community, Conditioning, and Consistency — sparked thoughtful discussion and meaningful takeaways throughout the room.

Corrie reminded attendees that overwhelm is not a negative sign, but rather a signal that something in our current strategy needs to adapt to our current reality. Through interactive exercises and table discussions, attendees identified their personal culprits, reflected on key areas of wellbeing and accountability, and shared their insights with the room to create strategies they could apply in their professional and personal lives.

A key takeaway was the power of small, consistent action and recognizing that real progress happens one intentional step at a time. We also celebrated the release of Corrie’s new book, The 5 Overwhelm Culprits: How to Reclaim Your Power, Rewrite Your Story and Lead an Extraordinary Life.

Thank you to Tania Sherrill of our Champion Sponsor, Firstrust Bank, for sharing remarks and stepping into her new role as Chair of the SPW Advisory Council. Also thank you to Jill Ruggerio from UnitedHealthcare and SPW Advisory Council member for welcoming attendees and introducing our featured speaker.

Thank you to all our sponsors highlighted in our sponsor collage! by @spwmainline
