🇳🇱 Friday, 18 Sept at 6pm, we’re bringing our 2026 harvest to A Sense of Place on Willemsstraat in Amsterdam.

Along with Stuart of Osito Coffee, we’ll cup a range of arrival samples from coffees that we’re incredibly proud of, shaped by the native microbes around Kerehaklu and a range of processing styles. Pranoy + Bob will talk you through the harvest and what makes each lot uniquely tasty - or lekker, should we say? See you there 🇳🇱

If you look for me here you won’t find me anymore. On the train home after a few fantastic days in Brussels. Lots of love to @bouche.coffee @mok_coffee and @wideawakebrussels for keeping me and @lachevrequidanse caffeinated in the mornings. Of course, I saw hundreds more people than these photos show and missed hundreds more between events and the crowded tradeshow. Thanks to @kaadkaapi for travelling out for our film screening and @ecotact for being generous and very tact-ful (that puns for you @alanjtomlins). There is a subtle but strong fellowship within the Slow Food movement. Most often unspoken but instantly recognisable in those who seek out ingredients with a story worth telling.

When Andrea first discovered @postcardteas , it felt like finding kindred spirits, hence why they have remained one of the constants in his 20 year journey.

Finding fraternity over tea and coffee with @sritson and @jonathandnunn will forever be a treasured chapter of Andrea’s slow food story.

This one is a special one. Dylan (@friedhats) and I visited Wilmer Moncayo last year (he is a member of the La Muralla group Friedhats have bought from a few times). While there we discovered he had a large volume of Papayo variety just coming into production. We asked him to do a lot separation for us and try a special method developed @cafeticuna - a 2% salt solution ferment that helps increase lactic acid.

Here is the result! So happy Wilmer was up for the challenge. These are exactly the stories that are exciting for me - partnerships being formed and leading to creativity and new ideas. by @sritson

Unfortunately I won't be in Geneva this year. But only for good reasons. My wife and I had our second child two months ago, and for the simple craziness of the season it didn't make sense to go off to Switzerland for a few days. Have fun and sorry that I won't get this chance to catch up with so many of you lovely people. But Brussels, I'll 100% see you there! by @sritson
