POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Despite being up for going on 36 hours, falling asleep tonight may be a little bit of what might husband would call ‘tough sledding.’ Knowing that a big part of my heart is going into the ground tomorrow is easy to accept in theory... but not so much when the finality of saying goodbye doesn’t seem real yet. Knowing that some of the best conversations of my life are now behind me - as the person who could keep me up all night discussing life left us this morning. Our family experienced a huge loss today but we’ve also been beyond fortunate in having a patriarch who showed us how to always move forward no matter what the tragedy. I will miss his tough-as-nails sensibility almost as much as I know I am going to yearn for his sweet voice bragging on the girls he adored. Gdaddy was truly one of a kind - an original who made no apologies for being himself. His wisdom, sense of humor and deep caring will never be forgotten. Too young, too soon to be gone is what everyone says, but I believe his legacy and spirit will remain alive and strong in those of us he treasured and helped guide for years to come. #ripdaddy #oneandonly #family by @staciestandifer

It took a mighty group of #womensupportingwomen to make me break the months-long hiatus I’d taken from social platforms. With so much noise in the world, it just felt right to be still and silent for a bit both personally and with @nashvilleedit . Like most people , we were isolated from almost everyone with the exception of family. The entire experience has proven to be a good lesson on gratitude and patience. Despite all of the sad and negative aspects of the pandemic- we were lucky to have some small but special celebrations- a graduation, a wedding and today, a 16th birthday’ #brightside #family #sisters #gratefulthankfulblessed by @staciestandifer

Can’t even begin to describe how grateful I am to have had the last few days on this gorgeous island with so many people I love. Took a total break from work and unplugged over the latter part of the trip and it’s been glorious. Click through to see just how beautiful this last night’s sunset is. Thanks so much to @bmi @tomasinadipiero @fairmontkealani @leslieroberts and especially @timnicholsmusic for a much-needed reboot and magical songwriter memories to kick off the holidays. Now jumping on the redeye back to reality. See you soon, Nashville. #hawaii #bmimaui #songwriters #music #selfcare #holidays taken in Maui Airport, Hawaii by @staciestandifer
