An announcement from Loving Way Foundation & Team Waylon:
As the founder of @LovingWayFoundation - and the mother of an Abusive Head Trauma survivor - I am beyond honored to announce our first-ever Abusive Head Trauma Awareness Month this month of November, brought into life & action by our very own Loving Way.
This is the very first AHTA month ever - but it won’t be the last.
This month, we encourage you to wear peach & teal - and learn more about this diagnosis, how to prevent these crimes and how to support our Abusive Head Trauma victims & their families.

Abusive Head Trauma is one of the leading causes of death & lifelong disability in children under 2.
And 1 in 4 cases of abusive head trauma reported tragically results in a fatality.
My son was “lucky” - he survived the acute injury of his abuse when he was just 6 weeks old - yet, as a direct result of the abuse, he lives with quadriplegia, blindness, epilepsy, cerebral palsy and lack of motor & verbal skills as a result.

So how can you support us in sharing out our message this month?
Wear peach or teal - or both 🩷🩵- and share our messaging with your friends, family, coworkers & community - as well as on your social channels.
Why did we choose the month of November?
Because it’s Waylon’s birth month - and we want to honor the impact this strong little survivor is making on the child abuse community while honoring all of our victims - both our other survivors here on earth and our angels no longer here. 👼

How can you support even more?
Through the end of the year, we have a matching grant of $30,000 and your donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $30,000.
Please give generously to support our Abusive Head Trauma victims and their families - as we help them navigate medical & mobility challenges, harrowing justice journeys and do our best to help them find their joy in this “after.”
That’s what we’re here to do.

I am feeling so grateful for all of you this holiday season and for your ongoing support of @LovingWayFoundation.
2024 was a BIG year for Loving Way thanks to our donors, partners, and sponsors! Thank you.🩵🩷

As we approach the new year and the long-awaited start of our trial, I am deeply mindful of the harsh reality that so many survivors of child abuse never see their cases reach trial or experience the justice they deserve.
Looking ahead to 2025, Loving Way Foundation remains hopeful and determined to expand our reach and amplify our impact—bringing renewed hope, healing, and joy to families just like us who have endured the unimaginable - impact that is fueled by your generous financial support.

A very special note of gratitude for our private donor who is offering a dollar-for-dollar match up to $10,000 until 12/31/24.

Wishing you all a beautiful holiday season filled with love, joy, justice and wonder….and some miracles in there too, perhaps.🫶

Right now in Texas, @NBCtexasToday, is airing our @lovingwayfoundation segment, in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month this month.
Getting to help families who have been impacted by child abuse is one of the biggest honors of my life.
Just today, I’ve been texting with a mother whose baby was killed in Texas by someone they should have been able to trust.
This young mother inspires me so much with her spirit, strength, grit and positivity. With every phone call, she is teaching me about the greatest resilience and will to live.
She had a big meeting today and, over the past few weeks, we have helped her prepare for both this meeting and some tough trial days up ahead by sharing our resources with her, sending her clothes for court and coaching her through the daunting, intimidating and traumatizing criminal court process.

I consider it the highest privilege to get to know these parents who fight for justice for their children just like I do.
I never would have volunteered for this assignment I have been given, but I am so grateful that I can help, offering my experience and encouragement to my fellow broken-hearted parents and children, and turning our pain into purpose.
Even in the deepest of pain, all is not lost.

When you support Loving Way with your donations, this is just one of the many ways you’re supporting victims of child abuse and their families..
Thank you.🩵🩷

Cheering you on today, F.🫶

A week ago tonight, we had the most epic cocktail party of @modernism_week, thanks to @kastraelion @lacroixwater, with a special nod to @lovingwayfoundation.
With a Kastra Elion martini bar, retro bites and midcentury fashion for days, producer @johnpatrickpalmsprings turned @theshaghouse into a real-life fez hat shindig.

@LovingWayFoundation was so honored to have a presence there, sharing our mission with partygoers…
And we SO appreciate the generosity of our amazing partners, @kastraelion & @lacroixwater - and loved sharing them with the Modernism Week crowd.🩵🩷

Cheers to everyone who made this sparkling night possible - @johnpatrickpalmsprings @b_mcburney @mikecamello @goodcarmastudio…
and thank you to the whole @theshaghouse & @modernism_week family for making this the best Modernism Week ever!!

I’m honored to serve on the board of a wonderful new nonprofit called @lovingwayfoundation. They have a fresh approach towards fighting the scourge of child abuse, and they have a lot of important work to do going into 2024.

Today is Giving Tuesday, and we’d really appreciate your help supporting victims, their families and their caregivers. Donations made through the link up in my bio are tax-deductible — and most important — make a huge, direct impact on these people’s lives. 🩵🩷
