Pompano!!!!, @pompanobeachparlor is coming. 🍩 Believe me, I was there watching them infill the slab, so I can confirm it’s happening! 😂

It’s been a pleasure working with the Parlor team on this location. Congratulations to the owners on opening in Boca, too! I stopped by with a little thank you from @studio_usliving and, of course, had to grab a doughnut.

Stay tuned to Parlor for Pompano opening updates!

A quick recap of Session 3: Remembering E. Pat.

Nearly 40 community members joined us to share stories, history, family names, and memories of E. Pat Larkins and the community he served.

From stories of sacrifice and perseverance to one unforgettable reminder that “the building needs to be a Cadillac,” this session gave us so much to carry forward.

These aren’t just stories. They’re helping us understand what this center needs to represent.

Special thank you to @atastymouthful for the beautiful spread and to everyone who helped us continue building the story.

The building doesn’t begin with the building.

Session 3: Remembering E. Pat is about listening, learning and understanding the history that should help shape what comes next.

Monday, September 21 | 6:00 PM sharp
Open to everyone. Come share a story. Come hear one.

Another great Convention in the books.

Grateful for the conversations, the connections, and the opportunities to continue growing as a leader in our profession. A special thank you to my home component, @aiaftlchapter , and its incredible leaders for their continued support and encouragement. It’s an honor to represent our chapter and contribute to our profession.

Until next year. 😃 #aiaflorida2026 #aiafortlauderdale taken in Orlando, Florida by @studio_usdesign

Today, I am incredibly honored and grateful to officially share that STUDIO-US DESIGN has been selected as the architect for the E. Pat Larkins Community Center.

As a Black woman architect and community member, I understand the significance of this opportunity and the responsibility that comes with it. This project is about much more than a building. It is about honoring the legacy of E. Pat Larkins, preserving history, creating opportunity, and designing a place where people feel connected, welcomed, and proud.

I want to sincerely thank everyone who has supported me throughout my journey. To those who have encouraged me, challenged me, spoken my name in rooms I was not in, and believed in my abilities when opportunities arose, please know that I am deeply grateful. I do not take your trust lightly.

I am also excited to partner with @meticulousarch . As fellow NOMA family and experienced leaders in community engagement, I know we share a commitment to listening, learning, and ensuring the voices of residents help shape the future of this project. Together, I believe we can create something truly meaningful for the City of Pompano Beach.

The work begins now, and I am ready. This community deserves our very best, and I am committed to showing up every day with the care, dedication, and excellence this opportunity deserves.

I invite everyone to join us @cityofpompanobeach on Friday, June 26, at the upcoming community engagement event. We want to meet you. This project belongs to the community, and your voice matters.

A lot of people have placed their trust in me. My job now is simple: honor that trust and deliver. 😊
