POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The past few weeks have been pretty surreal.

Seeing Bob (founder & CEO) standing here with The Sydney Morning Herald, where Loop Biotech was featured across a full page, is one of those moments that makes you realize just how far our story is travelling.

And it hasn’t stopped in Australia.

In just a short period of time, stories about Loop have generated more than 20 million views in media reach worldwide.🌍

But what makes us most proud isn’t simply seeing our name in the news or the numbers behind it.
It’s what happens afterwards.

Messages from people discovering Loop for the first time. Questions from families and funeral professionals. People from completely different corners of the world wanting to know more, sharing our story and telling us they believe in our mission.

What started as an idea in Delft is becoming a conversation far beyond it.

20 million views is an incredible milestone. But 20 million opportunities to rethink the way we say goodbye feels even more powerful.

Thank you to everyone helping our story travel. 🤍

“It’s the biggest change in the industry in a long time.” – Hymie (CEO)

Bringing Loop to Australia and New Zealand was never something we wanted to do alone. 🇦🇺

It takes local knowledge, strong relationships and, most importantly, people who believe in changing the way we say goodbye.

That’s exactly what we found in our partnership with Arrow Bronze.
Together, we’re introducing a new generation of funeral products to Australia and New Zealand and giving more families the opportunity to choose a farewell that gives back to nature.

A huge thank you to Sonia and Hymie for believing in Loop, welcoming us Down Under and helping us take this next step together.

We’re incredibly excited about what we’re building together.
This is only the beginning.

Last week, together with our exclusive partner for Australia and New Zealand, Arrow Bronze, we had the opportunity to introduce Loop Biotech at the Australasian Cemeteries and Crematoria Association event.

For the first time, funeral professionals from across Australia could see, touch and experience our products up close.

And that’s where some of the best conversations happen.
About mycelium. About nature. About what families are looking for today. And about how we can rethink the impact of our final goodbye.

The response has been incredible, and it was special to see so much curiosity for a completely new way of saying goodbye.

A big thank you to Arrow Bronze for bringing Loop to Australia and New Zealand with us, and to everyone who stopped by, asked questions and shared their thoughts.

“Wait… this grows in 7 days?” 🍄‍🟫

We took our Loop Living Cocoon™️ to the streets of Sydney to see what people would think.

“Wow, it’s so soft.”
“You grow this?”
“In just 7 days?!”
“This is beautiful.”

These are the reactions you hope for when introducing something completely new on the other side of the world.

People stopped. They touched it. Asked questions. And discovered that a coffin doesn’t have to be made the way it always has been.

Seeing that curiosity and excitement firsthand?

That makes us incredibly proud. 🇦🇺

Last week, something very special happened.

For the first time, a Loop Living Cocoon™ became part of a farewell in Australia.

Carolyn was laid to rest surrounded by her family, friends and nature. A farewell that reflected the way she lived: caring for others and deeply connected to the world around her.

And now, even after her passing, she gives something back.

The Living Cocoon™ will return to the earth, become part of nature and make way for new life to grow.
For us, this is what Loop is all about.
Not simply leaving less behind.
But leaving something good behind.

From Delft to Australia, one idea continues to grow: what if our final footprint could enrich the earth?

Thank you to Carolyn’s family for allowing us to be part of such a personal moment. 🤍

Since launching Loop Biotech in Australia and New Zealand, our story has travelled further than we could have imagined.

From @guardianaustralia and @sydneymorningherald to media across Australia, New Zealand and back home in the Netherlands.

Seeing a coffin grown from mushrooms spark conversations on the other side of the world feels incredibly special.

Because for us, this has never just been about growing a different kind of coffin.
It’s about changing the way we think about our final footprint. About showing that even our last act can give something back to the earth and make way for new life.
Every article, conversation and person sharing our story helps that idea grow a little further.

Thank you to everyone who has written about us, shared our story or simply started a conversation. 🤍

What a launch! 🇦🇺

We couldn’t have wished for a better start in Australia.

Over the past days, we’ve received so many reactions, questions and conversations from people discovering Loop for the first time.

Seeing people stop, touch the Cocoon and genuinely get excited about what we’re growing has been incredible.

From an idea that started in Delft to standing here on the other side of the world, introducing a new way of saying goodbye.

Australia, thank you for the warm welcome. 🤍

We’re just getting started Down Under.

We’ve officially gone Down Under. 🇦🇺

What started as an idea in Delft has now made its way to the other side of the world.
Loop Biotech has officially launched in Australia and New Zealand. And shortly after arriving, something very special happened: the first farewell with a Loop Living Cocoon™ took place in Australia.

A beautiful and deeply personal farewell, surrounded by family, friends and nature. A moment that reminded us exactly why we do what we do.

A new continent. New partnerships. And more families who can choose a farewell that reflects how someone lived; connected to nature and designed to give something back.

Australia & New Zealand, this is just the beginning.

Marion Tiede I 1963 - 2026 💜

So entstand keine gewöhnliche Bestattung.
