If you go down to Hillfoot Street today you're sure for a cute surprise!

@thommoncrieffcreative & @studiopylon have teamed up to bring you the first ever trinket trade box in Dennistoun.

When I was looking for somewhere to place this project I knew that I wanted to collaborate with a business that spreads joy, creativity and happiness just like trinket boxes do and the joy experts at Studio Pylon were a perfect fit.

*****************

What is a trinket trade box?
A trinket trade box is a small, weatherproof, community-installed container where people can exchange tiny toys, keychains, badges, and other pocket-sized knick-knacks.

What are the rules of trinket trading?
The rules are very simple:
* Take a Trinket & leave a trinket in return.
* Trade fairly, be responsible and kind.
* Lock the box after trading.

How long will this project last?
This project will last for as long as the community enjoys it and needs it. If you see the box empty or damaged please let Studio Pylon know or email thommoncrieff@gmail.com

*************
We hope everyone enjoys the whimsy, cuteness and magic of our new trinket trade box. Please tag us in your pictures, trades and use the hashtag #dennistountrinketbox taken in studiopylon by @studiopylon

I’ve only gone and got another obsession! STICKERS FOR DAYS! If you come in the shop and I’m categorising stickers shout loud as I may be lost down a sticker rabbit hole. Speaking of rabbits, there’s definitely some hopping along soon 😂

P.S they’re online too!

We would never put out Christmas stuff before November but we are prepping (like mental 😂). This year’s theme is Crispmas and we had so much fun making them. Cannot wait for part 2, it’s going to get very silly.

Introducing Church of Pylon Psalms, stickers of joyous, serious, violent, fun, angry thoughts because we are all multifaceted. I’m dead pleased with them! And I’ve had the most amazing day, professionally, but more on that upon confirmation (oh the mystery 😂)

Oh fucking happy day!

I recently had a rather bizarre and upsetting friendship situation. It made me sad for a few days but then I realised that it was exactly as it was meant to be and I’ve found the whole situation a great source of inspiration.

I had a brilliant conversation with a fellow small business friend about loving working and it really helped regulate my thoughts. I have zero balance in my life, it distressed me for ages, maybe it should but I don’t want to navel gaze anymore. I want to occasionally spend time with amazing people who get how personal having a small business is. I’m going to lean in to my workaholic ness, it’s my greatest source of happiness. I’m so fortunate that I also get to see that joy reflected when I’m in the shop.

Cheers, pals xx taken in studiopylon by @studiopylon

God damn I love wasting my time making silly videos! New trolls arrived, they are kinda ugly but also nostalgic which I enjoy. I am also obsessed with the blind box and it’s taking all my will not to open them ALL!
