Bedhead competitions were always a thing growing up the Mayse household. My sister and I always beat everyone else. So when I wake up with some rockin’ bedhead she’s the first I message. I get excited when she send me one of hers!!! Now my poor girlfriends are subjected to me also.

I must say I am proud to have passed down my bedhead skills to my three sons. Some older proof of theirs may have to be exposed to show our strong bedhead genetics.

In 15 minutes I had to leave to go see the new Brad Pitt movie, Heart of the Beast, which was an incredible love and survival story.

So enjoy this gem of mine, and maybe if the hair is really poppin’ I’ll share another.

Don’t be fooled! Sedona is beautiful in the summertime! The elevation is similar to Denver bc it’s in the mountains. People wrongly assume since the Phoenix area is so sweltering, all of Arizona is the same.

Being from the Midwest, summertime often is miserable. 85% humidity and 100+ degree days. No one wants to be outside.

So get yourself into Sedona where the dry heat, cool evenings and mornings will be so refreshing!

And this is a major favorite restaurant of mine and Peter’s. I always have to sit on the rocks, get my legs in and just soak, sit and listen to the water race over the rocks.

What a GEM! So not only are they “THE BEST DONUTS in ALL of ARIZONA”, the owners are from Kansas City AND…the best part…they live next door to us in our Sedona cul-de-sac.

What are the odds?! Sedona Serendipity at its finest.

So not only are their donuts phenom, their swag flys off the shelves! I got myself a sweatshirt and a mug! Their stickers are hilarious; designed by Paul (owner). And their T-Shirt in a can …. Brilliant!

Lynette (owner) gave us a tour of the back (not filmed - high level secrets) … and seeing how they operate, the detail and the fine tuned process obviously are critical components of their success!

So when you go to Sedones (as I call it)…

1. Stay at our house!

2. Sit on the deck looking at the mountains with your bakers dozen of Sedonuts & Coffee!

I promise you, your taste buds and tummy will be so happy!
