• We've been working to ensure our yarns are CUSMA compliant and are happy to let you know the majority of our yarn bases have now been cleared. This means many orders are exempt from US Import Tariffs. ⁠
• For any non-exempt items, the duties are prepaid during checkout so customers will not face additional charges upon delivery. ⁠

Choosing between different fibres for socks can feel a bit overwhelming. There are many choices, from which wool will enhance durability to the number of singles for the finished yarn. ⁠
⁠
Then there’s the question of add-ins, like nylon, silk and other fibres (alpaca, camel, etc.). And whether to card or comb the fibres to create the blend. ⁠
⁠
These choices can feel paralyzing as one delves into the world of blending in general, but attempting to blend for socks might feel even more so. There are, however, some guiding principles that can help ease the entire process.⁠

Scraps of beautiful, colourful yarn. If you're a proficient multicraftual maker, you may be surrounded by scraps of yarn. A question we often ask ourselves about our bundles of scraps is how to use them up. Many times they remind us of all the wonderful projects we worked on before. Often, they are in some of our favourite colours, and to our delight and surprise, the same scraps of yarn appear differently depending on the surrounding yarns.⁠
