Just some pics from a recent trip to down ‘unda. Was there for work, but got to do a fair amount of checking stuff out as well. Some city shots, some art stuff, a small oddly happy tiny marsupial and a pretty cool power wagon that is stirring some feelings. More to come!

Current greeting to the uninvited. Just a classic font with some super handy spray paint.

Twenty five years ago

There’s an entire generation of people in this country who weren’t even born yet, who don’t fully understand what happened on that awful day

Who never got to witness the power of an entire country of people of all colors, creeds, and races who came together to mourn, repair and rebuild. As a nation.

Never forget by @tacosntriggers

Blasted out last weekend to west Texas for a birthday party for a great friend, came home to a week of 110+ degree days and had enough by Friday. Went south and up to 7200ft for cooler temps and to check out this giant waterfall that has humble beginnings. And took a pic of this tree that has a solid no-quit attitude.

Sometimes we can learn a lot from nature if we just get out of our own way and pay attention to our surroundings once in a while. Altitude is a cool attitude in my opinion.

Found one of the few remaining official Knight Riders in this really cool museum/storage spot/dealership places, got eyes on the extremely limited edition Lamborghini Countach that brought back memories of that poster I had on my childhood bedroom wall for years, found a pretty wild unrinal and a pair of NV from a time almost forgotten in comparison to how small and powerful they make them now. Germany was legit. 5/5 would recommend and will return.

Who knew you could rent a high performance coupe right at the airport? Or that just to the east of the city that Germany had its own legit wine country? I’m definitely not a wine guy, but I dug it when it was lightly mixed w a little bit of soda water. Oh, and rump roast sounds like a weird steak, but it was amazing and so was the spaetzle after being dunked in that brown sauce. Beers in this part of the country are always legit, and that evening so was the company

Started early morning and walked the 2 miles to the tallest tower in the EU, took the elevator to the top and to the really cool restaurant for coffee w amazing views and a half inch of glass between me and about 750 feet. Then hiked up four more flights and walked the exposed 360 degree observation deck to see the city from a different view. Dessert was from lunch that was another 1.5 miles away.

10/10 would recommend

In Poland, even the luggage and bags are expected to wear seat belts because the drivers here do not go about the cities slowly. Also; when you check in to your hotel room you are given chocolates and water in beer cans, because decent beers are a theme here. Gonna find some cool stuff in tomorrow’s pics

Drink local and eat local when able to. Beers? Decent, nothing really jumped out at me. Food? Really good, and this region specific Iberico suckling pig dish was a show stopper. I guess when you eat acorns your whole short life you become incredibly chubby quickly. Also note the spinning rims on the most royal of royal carriages. And remember what I said about tiny knights? This one looked even smaller in real life because of the horse. Madrid was 4/5 high fives, I have a lot more exploring to do there for sure, will return and will commit to learning “proper espanol” better before heading there

In case you didn’t know, that wing is 64 meters long. Also, Madrid is really beautiful with a ton of cool history. Apparently a lot of the royals had baller armor and were all tiny, they liked hanging giant rugs on the walls, and some of the folks I saw there were really appreciative of my time and gave me some stuff I couldn’t carry on the plane to my next destination. I’ll be back, but not when it’s that hot. Stay tuned for the next Spain photo dump before the next destination reveal!

Attending weddings between great people in beautiful places is a fantastic way to spend a weekend. It’s even better when the people are awesome and so is the company that you’re there with.
Plus we cruised around the island with some close friends, hit up some pretty chill hang outs and toasted some drinks to the memory of some good guys.

Also; it doesn’t surprise me that a Green Beret and a Raider managed to get their patches on this huge wall. And dive bars are underrated. That is all. by @tacosntriggers
