May our prayers and our praise rise before the Lord like incense, a sweet aroma offered back to the One who gives us every breath, every step, and every opportunity to do what we love.

Tonight I’m praying for all of my friends deep in their training for the Angeles Crest 100. ⛰️

I pray the Lord strengthens you through your training block. That He protects your bodies, renews your minds when you’re tired, and gives you joy in the process.

And more than anything, I pray you don’t rush through these days without enjoying them and giving Him your gratitude.

Enjoy the mountains. Enjoy the trails. Enjoy the fellowship with your brothers and sisters. Enjoy your time with the Lord.

There is something special about being out there, away from the noise, moving through His creation, with nothing but miles ahead and time to listen.

I’m also praying for my daughter and the entire @vu_xctf family as they run, train, compete, study, lead, and pursue the things God has placed before them. May they have strength for the journey and remember who they’re ultimately running for. ❤️

The Bulldog has a history. Nathan just added another chapter.

For 34 years, the Bulldog Ultra has challenged runners in the Santa Monica Mountains — not just with the miles, but with steep climbs, rugged singletrack, exposed sections, and relentless canyon heat.

Known as one of Southern California‘s classic 50Ks, the race brings together breathtaking ocean views and unforgiving terrain.

This year, Nathan Brown (@100milebrown) took on the Bulldog, covering 29.33 miles and 5,804 ft of elevation gain in 3:39:39, finishing 3rd overall.

34 years of history. One more story written on the trail.

Get ready for the deepest field of elite contenders we’ve seen at the Bulldog Ultra 50k!!

San Diego’s finest, Makai Clemens, is finally toeing a SoCalTrail start line. @socaltrail Scott Munson returns as a 2-time winner to defend his 2025 Bulldog 50k title. Cody Leventhal accepted his entry from placing first at our Pacifico 50k. Nathan Brown, winner of the SoCalUltraTrail at Tejon Ranch 100k, is dialed in after Tough Mugu. Chris Grove hopes to make some moves after recently winning the Tahoe 100k. @machetemadness 100k champion Lusbin Mazariegos looks to improve his Bulldog time from last year. Watch out for anyone in the top 20 going under five hours, and for our dark horse pick, Sebastian Salsbury, running under the radar to go sub-4!!

The 25k men’s field is up for grabs with the
Mendoza brothers battling out their sibling rivalry and Gavin Smith, leading the Trail Half Series ready to mop up the mess.

We’ll see on Saturday which men and women take home the $4,000 in prize purse winnings!!

At Tough Mugu (@socaltrail), @100milebrown tested himself on technical terrain and a course built for the next stage of his journey.

Finishing 4th in the 25K, Nathan raced through nearly 90% single track, embracing the challenge of a strong field and the terrain he has been focusing on in his training.

More than a result, the race was another step toward his goal of preparing for the 100-mile distance.

I had a blast yesterday evening at @ersevents Inonougural Mission Trails Twilight trail races and had so much fun and the cutest 5K @vistastrawberryfestival! Strawberry Everything. I loved the @hollandiadairy Strawberry Milk and instead of your usual Banana we got 🍓✨🍓!

Congrats to everyone who took on one of the hardest SoCalTrail races to date!!

A special congrats to those who completed the inaugural SoCalUltraTrail at Tejon Ranch 100k on an uncharacteristically warm February day. The heat drove a 22% drop rate on the day, but many thrived with their feet to the fire.

Runners from San Diego County shined brightest, setting stout CR’s in the men’s 100k, 50k and 25k. Nathan Brown led the 100k from start to finish, crossing the finish line in 11 hours. Dylan Marx crushed the 50k in 4:17. Tim Vail cruised to the 25k crown in 2:01.

Kimberly Neely of Mill Valley threw down quite possibly the effort of the day to claim the women's 100k title in 12:15, good enough for third place overall. Washington DC’s Halle Gill impressed with a winning time of 5:34 in the 50k.

SoCalTrail regulars dominated the shorter courses: Taelor Smith of Thousand Oaks won the 25k on a twisted ankle and Ellaney Matarese was first overall in the 11k.

Other inspiring finishes:

- 69-year-old Soo Jung Lim of Fullerton crushed the 100k in 15:53, placing her 21st overall and 6th female.

- SoCalTrail sponsored mixed martial artist Rosario Romero (an undefeated 3-0 as a professional fighter) surged to a third place finish in the 25k.

- Bakersfield's relentless Glenn Bland became the first-ever DFL title holder at Tejon Ranch, crossing the finish line in 41st place in 18:06.
