— Send your portfolio no later than April 29th, 2026, at 1 pm — On Wednesday May 6th, 2026, from 11 am to 5 pm, artists residing in the North Jutland Region will have the opportunity to discuss their practice with curator and artist Oscar Ramos. The meeting will last 30 minutes and take place at Nordjyllands Kunstnerværksted in Nordkraft, Aalborg. The purpose of the curator meeting is to expand networks through studio visits or portfolio reviews. Oscar Ramos is a Mexican curator and artist based in Gothenburg. He is the co-founder and artistic director of the contemporary art platforms NSFW in Gothenburg and Lucky Strike in Stockholm. He is also the project manager of ARTKA, a digital platform aimed at promoting visibility and accessibility within the Swedish contemporary art field. Ramos has curated exhibitions featuring artists such as Hito Steyerl, Sandra Mujinga, and Metahaven, among others. If you are interested in a meeting with Oscar, please send your portfolio and indicate which times of the day you are available to meet to bkfnord@gmail.com no later than April 29th, 2026, at 1 pm. Please note that the meeting will be held in English, and there are a limited number of places available. The curator meeting is part of “Billedkunstnerisk Udviklingsforløb (BKUF) 2026” (Visual Arts Development Program 2026) — a program developed in collaboration with BKF Nord, Skal Contemporary, and Nordjyllands Kunstnerværksteder, aimed at visual artists and other independent art practitioners. The project aims to support a more sustainable work culture in the professional visual arts scene in the North Jutland Region. The program has received support from the Danish Arts Foundation and BKF's Cultural Funds. #bkuf #billedkunstneriskudviklingsforløb #bkf #statenskunstfond

LUCKY STRIKE, co-founded by @oscar__ramos and I, welcomed a small group in on Thursday, December 4th for our launch as the Cold Moon supermoon rose. The evening featured an exhibition by Anders Johansson and a performance by One Secret Each. Love to the artists involved, Fredrika for the documentation, and Axel for opening your hidden refuge. Anders Johansson (1979, Uppsala, Sweden) lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden. He received his MFA at Valand Art Academy in Gothenburg, Sweden (2011) and his BFA at Umeå Art Academy in Umeå, Sweden (2009). Anders’ visual world is a theme park of poppy pinks, ghostly stars and Tokidoki-style collectibles. Climbing into devastated delirium, a craving for the incessant is satisfied by the rapid production of information, a gear of cute accelerationism. Using frottage, a rubbing technique, Anders generates recurring personas that migrate across canvases and animate the objects he creates. His artworks perform postmodern identity—cultural capital as spectacle. Like fashion, identity can change and be put on at will. Shopping malls (also called shopping galleries) and art galleries share a common DNA: objects staged to be wanted. Placed in a bookstore, Anders’ work enters a different lineage. The mass production of books, born from the Gutenberg press, democratized literacy and redistributed authority. Here, his repeated personas become an elixir for possibility not the meltdown of commodity culture. Maria Bergström (b. 1993, Falun) lives and works in Stockholm. Maria is a Composer and Sound designer and graduate of Stockholm University of the Arts (2024). Maria released her debut album Debut as One secret each (2025) via PLX Records. The name one secret each came to her in a dream. Sagas of the soul. Music is her medium, notes crushed in grief. We all guard a hidden truth, one permafrost secret. We wouldn’t survive the thaw. We cast stars in the dark and trade in light. One secret each is divine love, original sin, tears watering pain. Deep cuts into human nature. pc: @fredrika.eriksson artists: @paersona_l @mariabrgstrm curators: @oscar__ramos @lo.etgo location: @antikvariat__privat antikvariat__privat
