Mei Zi Fan Qie
Plum-infused Tomatoes & Osmanthus

This dish comes from a childhood memory.

One day, my dad came home with a box of fresh beef tomatoes. They were ‘sweet enough to eat like fruit’ he proudly announced. We sliced them up and sprinkled on a bit of plum powder to add a little sourness. They became a daily treat.

When tomato season ended, the habit slowly disappeared. But still today, the sweet and sour taste - refreshing and simple - takes me back to those warm family memories.

📖

Big thanks to everyone who joined our first photobook reading room last weekend! Your enthusiasm was incredible—everyone brought more books than we expected! We ended up with nearly 30 photobooks to dive into, sharing personal stories behind book selections and the lenses that captured them.

A special thanks to Fabian and Chew for sharing their insights on transforming a photobook concept into a tangible publication. They covered everything from refining ideas and selecting materials to printing settings, distribution, and profit division. Their talk was packed with valuable tips for both beginner photographers and anyone interested in creating their own book.

Looking forward to see you soon!
