⚪️[Material Hauntings – A Series of tactile Interviews ] - Béné Jakel @benejakel

Materials: High-fired porcelain, clear glaze,
internal LED illumination,Plaster base

Dimensions: 3 ceramic forms . Approx. 4 cm x 4 cm each

Material Hauntings is a participatory sculptural

project that transforms oral testimony into material form. Centered around a series of tactile interviews, the work explores care and healing as intimate, everyday strategies of resistance against systems of violence and erasure.

The Outputs of the interviews are not written or spoken word but rather collectively made objects.

During the interviews participants are invited to shape soft porcelain clay while engaging in a conversation about our stories of dreams, rage, survival and affection. The objects then become living testimonies of being heared, of our struggles and our dreams: reminding you that you are not alone. We are here. And we always will be.

⚪️[Cinque copper booklets] - Vincent tam & Cin liu @cinque.made @m.c.tam

The Copper Books document material transformations in metalwork. Vol.1 is a series of diptychs exploring material tactility and material transitions during lost wax casting.

The materials record the movement of my hands, and the book records those materials through the duets of photo and line drawing. As if in a musical duet, the two instruments of photo and line bounce back and forth, rendering the same material through two different lenses.

Vol.2 looks at the manifestation of these material transitions, grounding vol.1 into tangible pieces of Cinque’s material research.

⚪️[Yeah, You Know That Right] - Zhiyi Luo @yinren614

2024–2025
Materials: Dowling paper, colored pencils, markers
Dimensions: 210 × 148 mm (40 pages)

This zine records my delicate observations and fleeting reflections from 2024 to 2025,
weaving complex emotions throughout its imagery. Each page functions as an independent visual chapter, open to interpretation; yet together, they form a coherent, diary-like narrative that conveys emotions both intimate and authentic.

The works resonate like echoes of a dream, drifting between the unfamiliar and the familiar. Through fragmentation and reassembly, they explore—from my perspective—the subtle and intricate relationships between people, and between people and nature.

At the same time, this project attempts to use the pages as a medium to build a strange space—inviting viewers to share knowing smiles amid confusion and to feel an ineffable resonance within gentle absurdity.

⚪️[Collect, Compose, Curate] - Linlin Guan @0_guan

Material: Dust brush, Sushi brush, Cotton and Matte Viscose.

“Collect, Compose, Curate” is an ongoing, life-long project that explores our relationship with everyday objects and routines. Through the acts of collecting, composing, and curating sculptural pieces, it invites us to reconsider the idea of functionality.

My work reframes ordinary items within both artistic and functional contexts, challenging conventional notions of practicality and structure. Infused with humour, poetry, and a trace of melancholy, the project acts as a quiet, continuous protest against the banality of daily life.

⚪️Clay and care - Wanling Hong @wan0ng @clay_and_care

In the quiet hum of the studio, where clay gathers breath and memory, I shape vessels that echo the stillness and depth of the Song Dynasty—a time when simplicity bore the weight of grace.

My practice is a conversation with the past, spoken not in words but in curves, in pale
glazes, in the hush of form that holds more than it reveals. Each piece begins as earth, unformed and waiting, and through touch, repeated, meditative, patient, it becomes something more - a whisper of history, a gesture toward utility, a poem for the hand. I am drawn to that moment where a bowl is not just a bowl, but a quiet keeper of time, of nourishment, of the unsaid.

The lineage of Song ceramics moves through me like a distant river, guiding each decision with restraint and reverence. Glazes are chosen with care, like selecting words for a delicate verse; the palette remains hushed, the surfaces soft, inviting touch.

In the meeting place between ancient rhythm and contemporary breath, I craft objects meant to be held, and lived with, that hold not only what we place in them, but the silence, the slowness, the stillness of making.
