If you come in to the office for treatment, you know I make you a personalized after treatment tea 🫖🍵
TCM doesn’t need to be difficult to incorporate into everyday life; sometimes it just takes a daily tea to make big change.
If you can’t make it into the office to have tea time with me, you can grab my Tea for Every Season ebook in my bio link!
It’s a tea cookbook that’s tailored to every season of life and of the year. 🌿🍵☕️🪷
This week’s teas in the office included:
- sticky rice pu’er from @chafolio for digestive support
- buckwheat + chen pi for bloating
- da zao + gou qi zi + yiyiren for energy and draining damp
- magnolia flower + chrysanthemum + mint for allergies and congestion

Everybody is different, and what works for me may not work for you. BUT the beauty of TCM is that we can find something that does 🌿✨
If you’re interested in a TCM diet and learning to effortlessly incorporate Chinese medicine into everyday life, we should work together 🤝
Booking link is in my bio🌿

As an introvert, making content for my small acupuncture business is more difficult than I want it to be haha (hence, the return of the foot content lol)
I don’t ever film myself treating patients, because I’m giving you my undivided attention during our 1:1 session, and it’s your time to feel safe, rest, and heal. So, that leaves me to needle myself to get footage (lol) for any videos I make.
This is a video of me needling Liver 3 on myself.
Liver 3 (Taichong or Great Surge) is a very useful point, it:
• Regulates Liver Qi
• subdues Liver Yang
• regulates menstruation
• calms the mind and relieves ANGER !!!
• nourishes Liver Yin

It is often coupled with LI 4 to effectively move Qi and Blood throughout the body.

Overeating in TCM is generally frowned upon (especially meaty, greasy foods)…BUT if you happen to find yourself at AYCE KBBQ and are having the best time, these are things you can do to make sure you don’t feel absolutely disgusting afterwards. TCM is a fluid medicine and making small changes in your daily diet can make big changes in how you feel. The goal isn’t to restrict what you eat (because that’s no fun); the goal is to consistently make better food choices that are backed by ancient medicine. If you’re interested in all things TCM and how it can fit into your life, my booking link is in bio ✨

When you stop accepting that pain is normal, you open yourself up to getting your body to a good place. Chronic pain is not normal, you shouldn’t have to live with it. Constipation is NOT normal, you should feel empty again. Constantly clenching and being tense is not normal, your body needs help letting go. Having no appetite is not normal!!! You should enjoy your food!! Brain fog is not normal, you should go through life with mental clarity! Performing your best and feeling your best is achievable.
I’m here for your wins and your losses and to help support you through them to get you feeling like yourself again.

I started July with 250 followers, and now there are over 5,500 new faces here, so I thought I’d reintroduce myself. I’m Jes. My background is in chemistry, research and development, and FOOD. I was a chemist in so many different industries, and I was a line cook through school; I thought I found my calling when my worlds collided, and I became a food scientist (it was not my calling lol). My love of food started out of desperation; I grew up hungry most of my childhood, and I learned how to cook for my little sister and myself when I was 8 by watching good eats on food network.
I’m a doctor of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, and I graduated valedictorian of my class (while I was pregnant lol). I chose to quit my very stable, very ok enough chemistry job in the middle of the pandemic, because I felt that there had to be more to life than whatever I was doing. I wanted to help people in a way that was wholesome, and TCM reminded me of my grandparents.
I’m vietnamese-american and I recently found a new appreication for how special my culture and food are.
I started GOOD PLACE with a newborn and had no idea what I was doing; all I knew was that I wanted to help people feel better and share my love of food with them (just like my grandparents). Thank you for being here with me. I am truly grateful.
