Take us back to melb design week! 😭

We had the best time ever opening our doors for the week and meeting everyone who came to check out @___offmenu. Shout out to all the talented artists who participated but most importantly @sedni.studio for putting on such a well curated show!

Maybe we’ll see you all again next year?

@___offmenu group exhibition
14/5/26 - 21/5/26

In 2023 I entered vivid emerging designers to prove to myself that I could create nice products. When I was there I discovered Melbourne Design Week and told myself ill be invited to it one day. That one day was MDW 2026 and I was invited to be a part of a @___offmenu group exhibition hosted by @sedni.studio.

I was absolutely blown away by the sheer talent presented at this group exhibition and MDW in general.

2 key take away for me was
- I need to lock in even more, if I ever want to be as good as the designers presenting in MDW. Even though im participating in it this year i can see the skill gap. Not being hard on myself its just the reality and its exciting because I know I can get there soon.

- I bloody need to move to Melbourne asap, the more I can immerse myself around these types of designs and the designers the more I can grow. Because right now its just me at home and markets. Seeing people ahead of me in my field will go along way.

Thank you Daniel for inviting me and hosting (while moving houses to boot), honestly a highlight of the year 🙏

The Almost Bookshelf - our first piece, handmade from solid cherry wood, defined by its subtly slanted shelves. This gentle angle allows stone spheres to roll along a channel, turning them into playful and dynamic bookends. Come say hi and touch stone at design week! @___offmenu @ngvmelbourne

MDW here we go 🔥🔥

Only 1 week away until Off-Menu (@___offmenu) starts, I'm so incredibly grateful to the designers who will be in this show, with a massive thank-you going to them and to Noise Complaint (@noisecomplaint_au) for hosting this show. Running from 14-19 May, Off-Menu asks 18 creatives to exhibit x2 items from their practice; x1 item they're known for, x1 item they want more exposure for.

The 2026 program features 400+ events over 11 days running from 14-24 May, platforming upcoming and established designers through a series of exhibitions, talks, tours, walks, and a whole bunch of other experiences, offering an opportunity to engage with the Australian design community. I'm incredibly grateful to be involved in this year's offering and can't wait to see as many shows as possible while MDW 2026 is running.
