Honored to have worked alongside everyone for the project “The man I Love” Short Film by Kai Tan. Everyone was fun to work alongside with and I am blessed to have been able to learn and grow alongside the masters of the craft. This work of art recalls the history of the Upstairs Lounge fire which happened 53 years ago on June 24th, 1973 in New Orleans where 32 people were killed. The city’s filled with history and sometimes we tend to get caught up in today. Congrats to the Astute writer and the team for visionaries along tedious tasks for earning Nomination for the Louisiana Film Prize Festival.

That's a wrap on THE MAN I LOVE.

Fifty-three years ago on June 24th, 1973, thirty-two people died in the UpStairs Lounge fire, here in New Orleans.

For a long time, this city looked away from them. This film is my way of not looking away. It asks what happens to those left behind in the wake of a tragedy born of hate.

A labor of love, shot over two days in New Orleans, Louisiana - a small cast, a crew that gave everything, and a story that felt right to tell now, filmed in the very week the tragedy unfolded.

To everyone who stood on that set to tell this story, a love story at its core, I'm deeply grateful.

You'll see your names tagged below, because none of this exists without you.

Now it goes into the edit.

There's more to come. ❤️
