Women need other women in their lives who think they’re a big deal, raise their standards of what’s possible, call them out on their shit, and help them see their strengths

This weekend I went to a business retreat.

It fell on a weekend I didn’t have my kids... so I thought, well, maybe this is a sign?

The scary thing was... it wasn’t some huge conference where I could just hide in the back of the room and not get called on.

Normally I sit in the shadows at stuff like this, take some notes, and scoot on outta there.

Little did I know... my ENTIRE IG page would end up on the big screen getting feedback, and I’d have to stand up in front of the whole room while it happened lol.

Was that uncomfortable? YUP
But did I get SO much out of it? YUPPPP

You really cannot get where you want to go if you’re unwilling to do the things that scare you.

I realized I am wayyyy too comfortable at playing small

Just like a lot of us moms…we’re good at that ha

We hide behind our kids and the million reasons why now isn’t the right time to do something for ourselves.

I asked a mom the other day what she loved about herself….

And the ONLY thing she could come up with was that she was a mom.

Which actually made me so sad

You can love being a mom more than anything in the world and STILL have things you love about yourself that have absolutely nothing to do with your kids.

You are allowed to want more for yourself.

And sometimes you need to surround yourself with women who remind you of that when you’ve forgotten.

I came home from this weekend with a whole lot of ideas and some uncomfortable truths I am sitting with

It reminded me of why I believe in coaching so much

Sometimes you need someone who sees what you’re capable of and celebrates your progress when you can’t see it, but also calls you out when you’re making excuses

Moms ESPECIALLY need that.

You deserve someone in your corner who’s just as invested in YOU as you are in everyone else

Thanks @kendallstrampel and @losilver_ for putting on an amazing retreat. Just absolutely obsessed with you both and everyone I met there.

I’m not the best with words…but here we go

I am my worst critic
I always have been

“I’ll never fit in”
“That’ll never be me”

are 2 stories that have lived in my head for foreverrrrr

And here’s what I’ve basically learned
THATS FUCKING STUPID OF ME TO THINK THAT

bc I will not fucking quit, it’ll never happen
and that’s exactly why I AM successful

I remember at my first retreat at the end of day 1
I cried in my room alone bc I felt like I didn’t belong

SO MANY TIMES I have thought about just burning my business down and stop coaching bc I thought “this will never work the way I want it to”

and saying “everything changed when I joined WWBA” …would be an absolute understatement

Those 2 stories I use to tell myself no longer exist

I would not be where I am today without you Ken,

this community and everything inside WWBA is everything that I had been looking for

a mentor who doesn’t see you as a number
call me tf out when I need
And will literally fight for me, my vision my dreams, and who is there without fail is absolutely priceless

the community that you’ve built makes me feel like “I’m home”

It’s so easy to feel ‘alone’ in what we do

but I am unbelievably lucky and grateful to have found ACTUAL friendships in all of these amazing humans

and to be in a room full of women who fucking GET IT.

We’re not afraid to talk about the shit we REALLY want out of life and we can say it with our whole ass chest and not be judged

And a space where we can show up and be encouraged to be exactly who TF we are

Which is exactly what I want for my clients
bc they also have that DOG in them

And the more I pour into me,
The more I can pour into them

I love what I do and I love this space

It’s Tuesday and I don’t have any plans to go anywhere. Yet, I’m wearing a dress and did a little photoshoot — because I’m romanticizing my life, even in the small moments. I have a vision for what I want my life to look like: me being present and happy. Not overwhelmed and in survival mode. Even on a random Tuesday, that’s worth dressing up for.

This is my why:

Feeling good in my body, confident in the moment, and present with the people I love. Its getting dressed and not overthinking it. I would’ve never worn a strapless bra, but now I love it!! It’s going out and actually enjoying myself without feeling guilty about my choices. And it’s looking back at photos and seeing how radiant I looked instead of picking myself apart.

Health and fitness has given me the freedom to live more fully. The early mornings, healthy choices, boundaries I set, and ways I choose to take care of myself aren’t perfect, but it works. It’s about creating a life where I feel good, look good, and can have balance.

I’m so thankful for choosing to invest in myself 8 months ago bc future me is enjoying all the benefits & you should too!

There was a time when a last-minute trip would’ve sent me into a spiral

Not because I didn’t want to go but because dressing up, taking pictures, eating out, and being spontaneous felt like a LOT

I used to crash diet before trips hoping if I lost a few pounds, maybe I wouldn’t hate what I saw in the mirror

Then I’d promise myself I’d “be balanced,” but the second the drinks and apps came out, it turned into a full free-for-all

This past weekend was different

I packed without trying every outfit on 47 times or criticizing my body
Once I was there I was present, took the pictures, enjoyed the food, and was selective on what felt worth it

I stopped drinking last June, and even in Nashville, I honored that because it still feels good for me

It’s taken me a longggg time to get here

To enjoy a trip without spiraling
To trust myself around food
To take the picture
To not treat one weekend like it could make or break me

This version of me was built through a lot of messy reps, and I’m really proud of her 🫶🏼

After a final exam that took 3 hours, ya girl is DONE with her stats class. Walked into the final with my overall course grade being 101.6% - safe to say 3rd time is the charm to finally complete elementary statistics 😆

After unknowingly enrolling in an accelerated course, my life has been pretty chaotic the last 8 weeks but I didn’t give up. I worked 60 hours per week with my job, did homework/studying, roughly 3 workouts per week, and kept the boys alive 😆🫠

While everyone is probably wondering “how is she able to do it all?” - just know that I’m not able to show up 100% in every single area of my life. I have piles of clean laundry and dirty laundry scattered through my house on the regular, my sink is full of dishes more often than not, lots of projects sitting half finished, and I haven’t been able to take the boys to the park or on walks. But I still snuggle them while I study/do homework, play games when asked, present whenever and however long they need me to be to help regulate them, and able to make every appointment or meeting.

Right now is just a season, a busy one for sure, but I have goals. I need to dial in to be able to give them a mom who is regulated, physically able to be there for them, and build a career that will allow me to continue to be there for them physically/emotionally/financially as much as possible 🫶🏼

Now it’s time for me to take a 2 week break before summer semester classes start 😆

This past week I got to attend my first fitness retreat with BB and see ma and pa

@carolinebiddle_rd - you are a literal angel, and there’s not enough words to express how grateful I am for you, all of your guidance and reminding me to be where my feet are & helping me manage it all while building the 18 wheeler 🍑

& PA!!! @chadmorganfit - sorry about that choke hold, that was wild. But seriously, the energy you have created inside @beyondbuilttraining is everything I aspire to create

my only intention while I was there was to just connect & yap
and I did just that

Shout out to @jenniferwichman on that badger set
We a love woman who says “you can do better, go heavier”

Within 2 days of the retreat it hit me while I was on a solo walk

Like this is ACTUALLY my fckn life

I can pack up on a Tuesday night, fly down to Florida because the life I’ve built allows me to do so

& I GET to spend it by surrounding myself with people who get it

To my bitches, hi ily. thank u for the eye brow wisdom

We GET to wake up and do this shit every day
Change people’s lives, health, and physique
for the BETTER

I get to sit in rooms where it’s not weird or taboo to talk about money or record breaking months

And top it off, on the last day of the month
as I’m sitting there running the numbers for April

my business hit it record breaking month…while traveling

If you were to tell me 5 years ago,
After I left my 8-5 - that this would be life

I wouldn’t believe you

More than just physical.

I was given an award this week to represent the past 10 months with @beyondbuilttraining and I couldn’t be more grateful to receive it.

This week I was in an Airbnb for 4 whole days with 60 people I had never met before. But I left with friends for a lifetime. These people… they are the most encouraging, the most determined, the most resilient of people. From coaches to clients, I learned more about the athlete within than I ever have before. The conversations about what it took to get to where we are, the little moments of gratitude for where we came from. It all came out this week.

Growing up in athletics, you compete with others. Constantly comparing yourself to the next person. Wondering if you don’t have what it takes. But I left this weekend knowing the only person I need to make proud is myself. Strength comes from believing you have what you need… you just need to let it shine!!!
@rj.quirante thank you for always believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself. Thank you for not giving up on me when I made it difficult sometimes. And thank you for always knowing you could push me past my limit and that I would be ok. I could write a novel of thanks to you.
@chadmorganfit @carolinebiddle_rd thank you BOTH for creating something so special. You guys work to heal the little athlete in all of us!! THE MVPS!

A conversation I had with two amazing women this week led to me bursting to tears. Wondering if I belonged in this realm has been a deep fear of mine. But they graciously reminded me that I am right where I need to be, but there is ALWAYS more.

I leave this retreat knowing that God carries me even when my weakness comes through. He is the strength within. I just get to show off that strength in how I care for myself daily. His vessel will not be put to waste with me!!!!

I used to think my hyper-independence was a flex.

Did everything on my own.
Never asked for help.
Told myself if I just pushed harder, learned more, I’d get there.

But that mindset kept me stuck for years.

I said I “didn’t want to be a bother.” Or that I was “too busy” to commit
Truth is… I didn’t feel like I deserved to take up space.

This weekend, I did something different.

I jumped on a last-minute opportunity to join a retreat hosted by my coaches @beyondbuilttraining

I had every reason not to go but instead I jumped in blind.
Didn’t know who would be there.
Didn’t know what to expect.

And honestly? That’s the point.

There’s something so powerful about putting yourself in rooms where growth is inevitable. Where you’re a little uncomfortable.
Where you can’t fucking hide.

Bc every single time I’ve chosen to invest in myself

to get in rooms where I’m seen, challenged, and supported

I’ve grown in ways I didn’t think were possible.

There’s something different about being around people who don’t let you talk yourself out of your potential or play small.

That’s exactly why I made community such a big part of LIFT.

Bc it’s been one of the biggest catalysts in my own growth.

I’m so damn grateful for my coaches and for the people in my life who refuse to let me shrink.

If you’re not growing, you’re dying.

Here’s to putting yourself in rooms that change you. 🥂💃🏻

Thank you for holding me to the highest standard and challenging me in ways I never thought were possible, especially the past 4 months 🤍

To my girlssss, forever thankful for time together. Being an online coach can be SO lonely at times but I’m so thankful for our collaboration, masterminding & just girl time 💕

Thank you to all the other coaches this weekend that listened, challenged me, gave me advice & made me realize how much more I have in me, were just getting started & I can’t wait to see where I’m at in 1 month, 6 months & a year!!
