BODIES IN FLUX is the second episode of a cycle of public programs curated by @2050.plus and @slamjam in the context of CIRCLE, the digital think-tank launched by the two agencies one year and a half ago.

Drawing on the worlds of xenofeminism, parasports and cyborg art, the public program will explore how bodies can be used as a territory of experimentation and reimagination.

Through a series of performances, lectures and interviews, BODIES IN FLUX will offer a platform to scholars, artists and athletes that have stretched the biological boundaries of movement, senses and identity, in constant negotiation with different technological devices (prostheses, sensors, hormones).

Moving beyond the idea of the biological body as a “fixed fact”, which new types of bodies can be built, and how? How does this affect our interactions with the outside world?

BODIES IN FLUX will take place on March 15, from 6:00 to 9:30PM at @spaziomaiocchi in Via Achille Maiocchi, 7, 20129, Milan. RSVP will be available at spaziomaiocchi.com starting from March 11. The public program will be in English and Italian.

‘More than human’ is an experimental pilot project for a Norwegian town undergoing large-scale changes.
The project proposes a common library of housing and services typologies in which humans, rock, flora and fauna work and live together, becoming citizen of the same city.

"RIDERS NOT HEROES: ANATOMY OF A DELIVERY” is a short video documentary by @dashorama and @2050.plus The short film is part of the exhibition “A section of Now” on view through 1 May 2022 at the Canadian Centre for Architecture (@canadiancentreforarchitecture).

A simple tap on a phone conceals a chain of sequenced operations, procedures, and invisible frictions.
This short film dissects the multiple realities that collide throughout the duration of a food delivery: a complex system where bodily, chemical, and synthetic regimes are entangled in a short time frame, collapsing the acts of ordering and delivering. Two apparently frictionless gestures mark the extremes of a hidden anatomy, mirrored in the social separation and yet shared condition between customers and riders. Both are precarious, exhausted bodies. Both are cogs in the greater delivery industry.

The exhibition also features the first chapter of the project, entitled “Riders Not Heroes”, which was originally conceived and launched in the midst of the Covid-19 outbreak.
