Amazing things can happen when you say yes, especially when you don’t let the fear of the unknown stop you.

Last summer, I replied to an Instagram story from @frankiebridge and said YES. It was an invite to an event where I didn’t know a single person, and I had to go solo.

And I’m SO glad I did.

That one “yes” led to friendships and fun times with the amazing @favestheedit community IRL. It’s a gorgeous community built around women supporting women and making fashion feel inclusive.

And yesterday, during London Fashion Week, we enjoyed an amazing runway show that was about way more than just fashion.

Music, good vibes, bedazzling, virtual tech and way more body inclusivity and age inclusivity than I’ve seen at any other LFW show.

Faves, you smashed it again 🩵

Huge thank you to all the people who came to the protest to ban greyhound racing in the UK. Amazing turnout @animalaid_uk @shutdown.campaigns . We have a long way to go with effective pressure the @uklabour @andyburnhamgm . We have the support the Green with a speech from @nataliebennettgreen at the protests also support from MP @hannahtheplumbermcr who attended and spoke at the protest held in Manchester.

We need to remember that the dogs who have died and all the dogs who are still suffering aswell the poor dogs being exporting to places with zero animal protection laws . China Vietnam Argentina Pakistan India and many more. This is a massive issue and needs be highlighted.

What a gorgeous night 🎬👠🍿 @favestheedit hosted a private screening of The Devil Wears Prada 2 on Friday and it was such a treat to be there with so many lovelies from the Faves Insiders community 🤍

Here’s my 30-second honest review of the film:

✅ Outfits were a fun fashion romp of style and colour
✅ Meryl Streep does what she does best. Brilliant!
✅ Amazing soundtrack and high tempo Gaga cameo
✅ Acknowledged some of the toxic industry behaviours
❓Wasn’t convinced by Kenneth Brannagh’s role/casting
❓Andy having a new love interest felt thin, a check box
❓Bit cheesy in places, but definitely easy viewing

Have you seen it yet? Do you plan to?

PS thanks to everyone who voted on my outfit choice 🫶The dress code turned out to be more casual so I went with the jorts and a less sparkly top. But I’ll definitely be wearing those other looks when I get the chance!

Last night we hosted a private screening of The Devil Wears Prada 2 for our Faves ❤️‍🔥

Our @favestheedit insiders, Faves takeover girls and friends of Faves all together and bringing all the girlhood energy as always 🩵 I love that @frankiebridge and I have created a platform where all the women connect not just for the clothes but for friendship and work opportunities. Seeing that develop and knowing that Faves is facilitating that is amazing.

Loved seeing you all 🫶🏼

❄️WINTER ADVICE FOR DOGS❄️

DOG COATS
Skinny and thin coated dogs can benefit from a warm jacket. Be careful of putting a coat on a fluffy dog though as it can actually stop their fur trapping heat by pushing out the air in their coat that works as natural insolation.

KEEP ACTIVE
Movement will generate body heat so keep your dog active when outside.

ROAD GRIT
Be aware of chemicals such as grit and salt on the roads as it can be an irritant to a dog’s paws and pads, and their noses too when they are sniffing. Ice and snow can also cause irritation.

PAW PROTECTION
There are some brilliant balms on the market to protect paws and pads from cold conditions. Sensitive dogs will benefit from dog-friendly booties to keep their pads protected in the cold weather.

SHORTER WALKS
If your dog is not used to the cold it is important to stick to shorter walks to start off with until they get used to it. Heading outside during the warmer part of the day (11am-3pm) is also a good place to start.

❗️BE AWARE❗️
Important signs of cold related illness to watch out for include shivering, whining, reluctance to move, holding paws up, seeking warmth, or acting disoriented. If you see any of these, head home immediately and warm up. If symptoms continue, please contact a vet for guidance.
