During Black Maternal Health Week, I had the honor of attending the @theblackmomsfair and moderating a powerful conversation on advocacy, birth work, and maternal wellness. I shared the stage with the incredible @_themasonjar_, @gowitherica, and @clarityquestcoach as we explored topics including postpartum mental health, community care, and the realities Black mothers continue to navigate.

One thing I shared during our discussion still sits with me deeply: “Maternal health is not a medical issue, it is a community issue.”

Improving outcomes for Black mothers and families requires more than clinical care—it requires investment in community, advocacy, culturally rooted support systems, and spaces where Black women feel seen, heard, and protected.

I left this conversation feeling inspired, energized, and reminded of the importance of continuing this work together. 💜✨

This time next week our family will be headed to GHANA!! 🇬🇭
I want to give a MAJOR thank you to our village which has poured into ZYERE and have helped to make this dream a reality. My son will have the opportunity to extend his learning beyond the barriers, fears, and stereotypes often placed on our little black boys. My baby is living a life of LIBERATION and I will continue to make him aware of his powers and abilities!
If you’d like to support his journey through LIBERATED LEARNING feel free to screenshot and scan QR code at the end. We are truly thankful and excited for this journey!

Liberated Learning is the act of learning through CURIOSITY, EXPLORATION, and FREEDOM. We seek opportunities that allow him space to grow from within, by asking questions and embracing RESPONSIBILITY. For FREEDOM comes with RESPONSIBILITY.

With GREAT RISK comes GREAT REWARD, with GREAT REWARD comes GREAT RESPONSIBILITY.

This is just the beginning and it takes a village! VILLAGE, WE THANK YOU! ✨✨✨✨✨

Peace y’all!!! Please let’s help my dear sister @mother___nurture and her friend @_themasonjar_ @themasonjar_dmv reach and SURPASS their goal to help mamas in 🇬🇭

Each birth kit is only $30 (~300cedis), and can help ensure that these mamas have a SAFE delivery. No donation is too big or too small! 🤰🏾💕💸

“This for me & You BABY!!”

The texts, and DMs have been heard!
I’ve been in the kitchen and in prayer about this.
I’m finally opening up my meal prep options… not just food, but real nourishment.
The kind that holds you on busy days, postpartum days, grieving days, healing days, and the “I don’t even have the energy to decide what to eat” days.

Slow-cooked proteins. Living greens. Warming spices. Gentle on the body, steady for the mind.
Meals built to stabilize blood sugar, support hormones, and keep your spirit grounded; because a fed nervous system is a calmer nervous system.

Some of y’all don’t need another diet… you need support.

So this is me lifting you up the way good food has always lifted me up. Our grandmothers knew: when the body is tended, the heart can breathe again.

If you’ve been asking, this is your sign.
The Mason Jar meal prep is here.

Comment “MENU” or send a DM and I’ll send you the details! 🤎
