Breaking the top surgery posting hiatus to say a massive thank you to @foylepridefest for presenting me with the Trans Award at last night’s launch event. Can’t even express how grateful & delighted I am, this means a lot. Absolutely unreal to be receiving this award just after getting top surgery - living my best trans life right now 🌀

Thank you to @foylepridefest and everyone who nominated me. I will be crying about this for a while. Words are still escaping me, but please know that it means more to me than I can say.

Our two final performers are Danny Arlo & Isaac Quinn, with an excerpt from Quinn’s new musical, “Good Boy / Good Man”. In Derry’s technical college, two polar opposite trans men are forced to write a song together. A new rock musical about performative masculinity, queer desire and what it means to be seen. Danny Arlo (he/him) is a trans and queer performer from Derry with a background in theatre. He’s currently studying music performance at NWRC and pursuing a solo music career. He’s super excited to be involved with Affirmative Transaction. Isaac Quinn (he/him) is a theatremaker based in Strabane. A notorious transgender, he’s thrilled to bring an excerpt from his new T4T musical “Good Boy / Good Man” to Affirmative Transaction. Come along for a night of spoken word, music, and theatre in support of gender affirming care - tickets available at the link in bio/Eventbrite.

Our next performer is Alex Cregan! Alex Cregan is a writer and performer of poetry from Derry. He was an All Ulster Poetry Slam 2025 finalist and currently organises Queer Writers’ Circle as well as co-hosting A Derry Queer Open Mic with Isaac Quinn. Alex likes getting a little weird and metaphorical in his work as that’s how his brain processes the world. Come along for a night of spoken word, music, and theatre, in support of gender affirming care - tickets available on Eventbrite/the link in bio.
