The LA city council voted unanimously to allow publicly owned helipads to be used for private use during the Olympics as a method of transportation. That means your tax dollars are helping fund rich people avoiding traffic. Every city councilmember voted for this.

I helped pass a letter to oppose this last November but the motion passed in January.

During the 2024 Olympics in Paris, the French government tried to push the air taxi plan onto Paris but the city sued the government in opposition and called it ‘an environmental aberration for the ultra-rich’.

So they set their sites on LA instead. And what did our city do? Rolled out the red carpet, because our city, state, and country is constantly selling us out for the rich.

This will also increase our already terrible air pollution because helicopters use jet fuel! The increase in air traffic will also lead to a higher risk of crashes.

We can still contact our councilmembers to stop this plan before it goes into effect.
Go to https://lacity.gov/neighborhoodinfo
to find your City Councilmember and their website with their contact information and tell them you oppose using public helipads for private use.

S U M M E R 2 0 2 6 | July and August were a fun blurrrrrr. For those who don’t know, I went on a health journey and largely cut out drinking this year. I get asked a lot where I go instead of the bars and what I’m doing instead. The answer is… THIS. This is what I’m doing. ☺️🙌🏽♥️
