I want to properly introduce ACND. ACND aka AsCeND.

Ascend means to move upward, climb, or rise to a higher level.

I wanted to bring this to life when I was solo hiking in the Dolomites back in 2024. I realised that not a lot of people get to see these mountains, so I started thinking about some barriers that stop people from going outside.

One barrier is cost. Outdoor clothing is designed to last long; it’s functional, versatile, long-lasting, and durable, but it’s expensive. We are constantly upgrading gear. This is not convenient for those seeking adventure only a couple of times.

I know selling clothes second-hand is nothing new. But I want to create a community, a platform, a store that will increase accessibility to the outdoor environment. Selling second-hand outdoor clothing is not just about reducing waste and overconsumption. But it’s giving people an opportunity to access recreation and create lifelong memories.

People ask me where I get my hiking clothes from. All I can say is most of my hiking clothes and gear are second-hand.
