✨Weekly Dump/Life Update✨

I haven’t done one of these in a hot minute but that’s because life has been nonstop but in the best kind of way! And that’s how I like it! So what’s new:

🩷Deadlift PB of 130kg
🩷Mixed Doubles sim with Ant - 1:00:46 (hopefully we will recreate this at Excel)
🩷Lots of long runs
🩷Chasing all the sunsets with Posie
🩷All the iced coffee
🩷What felt like a million birthday celebrations with loved ones (I’ve got lots of September babies in my life but that’s okay because I love me a Virgo/Libra)

And what do the next few weeks entail? Now this is the fun part:
⚡️ATHX Liverpool
⚡️Great Eastern Run
⚡️ 2 x Womens Doubles at Hyrox Birmingham
⚡️Another load of birthday celebrations for my gang

And above all I’m grateful for a body that allows me to do every single one of those things to the best of my ability

September you were wonderful - October I’ve got high expectations 🦋

Static stretching isn’t the only way to open up tight hips. Dynamic hip flexor and quad mobilization actively builds range of motion and control where you need it most.

How to execute:

Set up with your knee close to the wall on a comfortable pad or mat

Lock in a posterior pelvic tilt (tuck your tailbone) to engage your core and isolate the quad.

Slowly move through the range—driving forward into the stretch, then backing off, keeping the glute squeezed at peak tension.

Perform 8–10 controlled reps per side before running, lifting, or as part of your daily mobility reset.

Save this for your next warm-up! 📌

Are you a runner? Try these exercises!

I have treated to many runners that are beginners and athletes who don’t do enough pre-hab and strengthening. Add these in to your routines to prevent injury and strengthen your lower body.

S1 - Double leg Hamstring bridge (beginner)
S2 - Single leg hamstring bridge (advanced)

S3 - banded isometric hip flexor march (advanced)
S4 - seated isometric hip flexor hold (beginner)

S5 - Banded abductions

Want more information on how these can help you as a runner? Drop me a message!
