A writing from my 2022 journal, that spoke of a collection, textiles and designs all yet to be… Fast forward 3 years later and here we are.🥹 Beginning of this year I wore about how I wanted to write more as writing in for me has always been a space where I felt safe to share my perspective. Even if it’s alway slightly weird with niche examples that only my brain finds correlations amongst, it has always been a fun space to dance through that and still come out the other side with a clearly explained thought. This article ‘Fashion as a Portal through time’ published by @guapmag felt like one of my beloved literature essays. ‘Will she, save me too…?’ I’ve been thinking about this post for a week now, if it was something I needed to share, if I actually had something to say - part of my whole overthinking of getting back into making content again. However, one of the thing that learnt on my holiday with my gorgeous friend @nickart.301 was creating while having fun in the process. I don’t know how to be a ‘professional’ brand owner, however, I do know how to show up and simply be. Thus, I hope that starting from here, just as I am in this moment will be enough. (have a feeling it is…) There is probably more to learn along the way and maybe I will discover my own form of professionalism en route. For now, I want to share my stories as I would if I was talking to a friend or laughing across a table with a stranger (new friend). So welcome to Adanma’s Fashion. ~ I really wanted to share a bit into what it means to me launching this brand and releasing it’s debut collection. After the first fashion show I curated with my friends when we were only 17, I thought I would never design again. Yet, overtime I found myself returning to it softly. I’ve never actually felt my designs were unique enough, yet through my exploration in fine art my perspective began shifting from trying to figure out if they were unique enough to simply enjoying the process of creating. I wanted so badly for 2022 to be the year I launched my first collection, as a way to prove to myself that I could do it. That I was good enough and I was worthy of my dreams. Yet, it wasn’t. Instead, life made me promise that my love for myself would not depend on if I felt I was successful or not - it first had to be unconditional they said. The collection wasn’t created till 2025 and even after it was, fears and old beliefs surface… What is it wasn’t good enough? Would people like it? So I hid. It feels funny to say I’ve spent the past 6 months falling back in love with my collection and my brand. And the more I reconnect to their stories, the more obsessed I’ve become.😂 I look forward to you guys to experience the pieces yourself and I hope you will be as obsessed or even more.💖 Lots of love, Adanma.

collab with @britishmuseum x @Koltura_hanbok , what an honour to be a part of this beautiful event hosted by @bmyouthcollective , I was able to showcase the innovative hanbok designers who are a part of my store on the grand staircase to the visitors of the British museum. Even with the eventful end to the evening, we still managed to create great memories ! Shout out to the Bmyouthcollective for being so warm, welcoming and fun! 🥳CONGRATS, a book launch✨Plus other SPRING ACTIVITIES! So I dyed my own pink hair streaks, the schedule this month felt so uncontrollable so I dyed my hair 😂! It’s been fun though, lots of photoshoots, launch of @koltura_hanbok & the first pop up with Jung festival and some fun events, I want to start off by congratulating one of my besties @banban.cuties aka @pinkpono for the launch of your book, you’ve worked so hard, got to celebrate another bestie and her birthday @hangukhapa and we got to try @sixbynico new Korean menu. Spring to summer update, I’m trying to shift my mindset by not feeling guilty for enjoying a bit of time off! So I got back into gaming a bit, played Pokemon Violet and started Digimon Cyber Sleuth. I’ve also started exploring Minhwa a bit more in terms of art, no pressure for an exhibition or show, just enjoying painting! The viral post of my siblings was unexpected but quite touching too~ was nice to dip into nostalgia and for people to feel the love that came from the reel because it was made with love :)! Anyway!
