Abundance Collection is celebration of life’s quiet miracles…

From darkness to light, doubt to dreaming again. Inspired by a journey of rediscovery, this collection honours the beauty of being held by love, community, and the universe.

To be is to be abundant.

Thank you to everyone who has held me along this journey called life.💗🙏🫂

To the sun and its morning kisses, to the white feather and its knowing glide. The butterfly and her beautiful guidance! the dragonfly and its divine guidance. ✨

In November, I basked in a radiant joy that filled my cup with glee, celebration, peace, fulfilment and the wholesomeness of community✨

Radiant, a group exhibition of 17 phenomenal Artists curated by and championed by Curator extraordinaire ‘Abigail Fakoya’ @mo.junie of @mojun.jpg at @copelandparkse, held a safe space for unabashed, unapologetic and fervent joy in Black womanhood✨

My hearts still bursting with joy because I can’t remember the last time I truly had this much fun, and at a show✨

Oluwatobiloba✨

I showed my babies to a new audience in London, my first show here… the first of many (she sites By the Grace of God), and they received such a warm and genuinely engaging reception, which made me so happy.

It was so inspiring to share space and work alongside 16 phenomenal artists and women whose works nurtured, held and pivoted me forward towards reminders to take care, choose joy and create spaces for rest in life, alongside its complicated passages.

I presented 3 bodies of work, ‘Passages (2024)’, a 20 piece wall installation of enamelled copper plates; a gridded storybook chronicling my navigation of burnout, rest and self care. My poems ‘Reckonings of Joy (2023)’ & ‘Slow down | Sẹ́ jẹ̀jẹ̀ (2023)’ displayed as fabric prints, which discuss my source of Joy being in God and the second poem offering tough love to ‘take it easy and self prioritise.’

Lastly, some older babies from my 2018 painting series ‘Vulnerability’, ‘Grace and Love sustained me’ & ‘First I wonder, now I create then I blossom’. The first gives glory to God being my source and sustenance in life, and the second encourages inquisitiveness and self exploration as positive and necessary tasks towards self development.

Thank you Abigail for holding space for us💕
What a joy it has been to work with you and to have seen this beautiful project and labour of love of yours come into fruition. I’m very proud, honoured and glad.

Abigail eku tojuwa (thanks for taking care of us) 💕

Certainly looking forward to the wonderful curatorial visions and projects from @mojun.jpg and all the Radiant Artists through time.

Thank you to @picturedbypatricia and @shadzs_art for 📸

Exactly a week ago today, the ‘Radiant’ exhibition opened at Copeland Gallery. The labour of 2 years finally brought into fruition and I couldn’t be more fulfilled and proud! Of myself and of the INCREDIBLE women artists and creatives I’ve had the honour and the pleasure of working with to bring this show to life.
☀️
To my friends and family who made the long journeys to come support, to everyone who came to the opening and throughout the weekend, thank you for sharing your JOY with us and we hope that you left the experience better than you came!
✨
A huge thank you to @copelandparkse for their unwavering support and partnership throughout this year, to @amandla_wine for their sponsorship that allowed the exhibition to be a fully immersive experience of joy for the senses and to @aceagrams for providing the financial support that allowed all of this to happen.

And ofcourse NONE of this would even be possible without God whose grace and love carried me through the years of making this show!

Thank you thank you and I look forward to seeing you all at the next one! 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

📸: the amazing @picturedbypatricia thank you for capturing these wonderful moments 🖤

The ‘Radiant’ exhibition held at Copeland Gallery @copelandparkse ☀️

This exhibition featured the work of 16 other contemporary artists and creatives who share the intersectional identity of being a ‘Black Woman’ and wow, I was definitely in good company!

‘Radiant’ was an immersive and multi-sensory exhibition which explored the experience and cultivation of joy for, with, and by Black Women through different mediums of art

Among two of my wall-hung artworks, I felt it was special to have my bean bag chair present in the exhibition to offer a moment of rest, especially as rest can often feel like a luxury for many of us Black women. It was amazing to see people actually sit on the chair and find it comfortable (this is just the beginning of my transition into more immersive artworks!)

As part of the Radiant exhibition programme, there was a series of events and workshops in partnership with different organisations to aid the community in the cultivation of joy

- One of those being a @blackgirlsinartspaces meet-up where @mojun.jpg gave a curators tour of Radiant, and some of us artists shared about our work. I always appreciate being given the platform to speak up, and it felt extra special that it was to a room full of Black women 💛

What a JOY it was to be part of this beautiful exhibition! I had so many conversations with incredible people, and it was so comforting to be part of this safe space. Thank you @mojun.jpg for having me be part of this special moment in time
