This is not a victory lap.

It’s a relay race.
And we are still running. ⏳🏃🏽‍♀️

1944 — 🇫🇷 France: women vote for the first time
1974 — 🇺🇸 Women could finally open a bank account alone.
Let that sink in.

A study by King’s College London and Ipsos found that nearly 1 in 4 Gen Z men believe women should not be “too independent.” (Source in comment)
That stopped me in my tracks.

I have two sons.
And every day, I’m raising them to know this:
a woman who leads, who speaks up, who takes space —
is not a threat. She is a gift.

Because the reality is still stark:

• Only ~10% of board seats in Africa are held by women
• 52 million girls are still out of school
• Less than 1% of global VC goes to African and African-Descendant women.

So we don’t wait for a seat at the table.
We redesign the whole room. 💜

65 Years Later, We Returned.

There are moments you try to prepare for.
And then there are moments that overwhelm you in the most sacred way.

The 65th anniversary of The Paris 3 was not simply a commemoration.

It was a return.

We stood in the courtroom where Margaret Nichols, Augustine Fields and Weida Allen were sentenced 65 years ago.

But the room felt different.

The courtroom was filled with community members, faith leaders, students, artists, and neighbors who came to witness this story being spoken aloud.

What was once a place of judgment became a place of witness.

We are still processing what it meant to gather there together.

More from this historic weekend to come.

✨ Celebrating International Women’s Day with ADWIN

Today, on March 8th, we are proud to join the ADWIN – African and African-Descendant Women Impact Network community to celebrate International Women’s Day.

As AI partners of ADWIN, we are honored to contribute to a global conversation that highlights the leadership, impact, and voices of women across communities and industries.

At AI Crafters, we strongly believe that technology and AI must be built with equity, diversity, and inclusion at their core. Innovation becomes truly powerful when it reflects the richness of the people it serves.

Through our collaboration with ADWIN, we share a common commitment:
🌍 Empowering women
⚖️ Promoting equity and opportunity
🤝 Building inclusive ecosystems where talent can thrive

Today, Morad and Meryem will be participating in the event, and we are excited to exchange ideas, insights, and perspectives with an inspiring community of leaders and changemakers.

Because shaping the future of AI also means ensuring that women are part of designing it.

Happy International Women’s Day to all the women driving change, innovation, and impact around the world.
