The Electronic Cafe for Poetic Computation, an internet cafe and community hub for technological liberation that was developed during SFPC’s residency @Recessart, has ended. We’re very grateful to everyone who participated in our programs and contributed in our efforts to activate the space! Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing recaps of the programs we ran in the space & overall highlights of ECPC.

Today, we’re sharing a recap of ☁︎ Seeding your own cloud: Hands-on self-and-community-hosting workshop ☁︎ with Jonathan Dahan (@jedahan), where participants learned how to set up computers with the ability to host personal home pages and their own version of cloud services. During this class, we also addressed challenges and benefits of short, medium, and long-term hosting infrastructure.
