Still reeling from the most fabulous of Saturday afternoons, doing what I love with people that get it. I taught two classes with my lovely OpenMat community, and then a gaggle of instructors descended on the studio. (What IS the collective noun for instructors? I'm voting for a "cue" of instructors ) This job can be so lonely. Not anymore. We're building a tribe, and if you're instructor-inclined, you're invited. ✨ Next one: Saturday 14th November ✨
A class together, snacks and chats. £35, capped at 15 to keep it vibey. Big thank you and all my love to @elliechandegra and @alexinorris for sharing their expertise and experience. And to @runtheboroughs for the cutest of gifting rails. 🫶🏽 In for the next one? Comment SOCIAL and I'll DM you the link

Lessons Beyond the Mat 🩵 Today was a reminder that being a Pilates instructor is about so much more than movement. I spent the day at an inspiring workshop hosted by @thisisopenmat , learning about the business of Pilates, building confidence as an instructor, and navigating a path that feels both sustainable and authentic. Some of the most valuable lessons came from the conversations in the room. Connecting with other instructors, hearing different experiences, and sharing honest reflections was a reminder that growth doesn’t happen in isolation. I’m leaving with practical insights, fresh perspective, and a deeper appreciation for the power of community within this industry. Thank you to everyone who shared so openly and to @thisisopenmat for creating spaces that support learning, connection, and confidence. 🤍✨ #pilates #teaching #workshop #pilatesinstructors #pilateswithmaisha

LAST DAY TO BOOK Your training taught you Pilates. It didn’t teach you how to find work, how to cue a room full of real bodies, or what to do when your first classes feel shaky. Most new instructors figure that out alone. Or you could spend one Saturday afternoon with people who’re a going through it. Saturday 10th October, 3pm to 5:30pm OpenMat, E1 £60 This is for you if you’re studying, newly qualified or in your first few years of teaching. You’ll leave with: A plan for finding paid work The Business of Pilates, with me. We’ll cover where the work is, how to define your offer, and how to build a teaching career that actually pays. Confidence in your cueing Teach with Confidence, with Alexi. Learn to cue the bodies in front of you, read your room, and stop freezing mid-class. Perspective on the hard bits The Early Days, with Ellie. These are the situations every new instructor faces, and why none of them are a reason to give up. A network These are instructors at your stage who’ll cover your classes and send work your way. And on top of that: 📸 A professional headshot, with a photographer on site 🎁 A goodie bag, including a piece of New Balance clothing 🧘‍♀️ A group class to start 🥗 A salad bowl and matcha A headshot alone usually costs more than £60. Here you get that plus three workshops, a network and a goodie bag. Booking closes at midnight tonight! Link in bio 💚 or comment “IN” and i’ll DM you. #PilatesInstructor #NewPilatesInstructor #PilatesTeacherTraining #PilatesLondon #PilatesInstructorLondon

An afternoon for newly qualified, early career and still studying instructors. You qualified. Nobody told you the hard part starts after the certificate. We move together, then three workshops on what your training didn’t cover: the early days; how to not get disheartened, teaching with confidence; and the body in front of you, the business of Pilates; how to make money. Saturday 10 October, 3 to 5:30pm. OpenMat, Stepney Green. £60, refreshments and a partner goodie bag included. 30 spots maximum. Comment WORK and I’ll send you the link. 🫶🏽 Cannot WAIT!! for this one. Love you gals! *we’re all pilates instructors but definitely still valuable information and network for all yogis, breathwork and soundbath pratitioners. #PilatesInstructor #NewPilatesTeacher #PilatesTeacherTraining #LondonPilates #PilatesTeacher

had the pleasure of attending one of @alexinorris classical mat pilates classes last week at @thisisopenmat in the E1 area to capture some photos ✨ the atmosphere was amazing, everyone was so welcoming and the energy throughout the class was so lovely to photograph (although I’m sure everyone was feeling Alexi’s flow by the end because she definitely did not come to play!!)

We are still on an all-time high from our Pilates & Petals Spring Soirée 🌸✨ What an incredible day it was. Seeing all of our beautiful guests show up in their pastel fits, connect, laugh, move, and fully embrace the experience honestly meant everything to us 💌 The energy in the room was unmatched. Whilst we get the rest of our content ready, enjoy a few moments captured from such a special afternoon ✨ More to come… 🌸
