There are moments in this work that are sacred to witness. Adam making promises, in his own words, not only to his bride, Stephanie, but to her daughter, Charliee. When children are part of a wedding ceremony, I believe the promises should flow in one direction: from the adult to the child. Nothing is asked of them in return. They simply get to receive the promises being made to them. What a privilege to stand this close to the tender ways a family becomes a family. Celebrant @alisatongg

Summer, part two. ☀️ A little collection of a season that felt very, very lived. I held spaces for women to move, feel, soften, and come home to themselves. Mixed somatic movement journeys. Photographed so many love stories. Celebrated women I love. Sent my babies off for their second year of college. Paddled, roamed, danced, created, played. I got a little time away in Cape Cod with my partner and dear friends-time to exhale, be together, and photograph one hell of an engagement session while we were there. I sat down for beautiful podcast conversations, working behind the scenes on elevating both of my websites (@the.real.m2photo + @shebecomesunbound) , and continued building an embodiment brand that feels more and more like me. And there was so much that isn’t here. A few incredible Wild Woman sessions that will never see social media because those images were created for her, not the internet. Time with my family. Quiet mornings. Conversations. Belly laughs. Long hugs. Moments I didn’t photograph because I was too busy living them. I’ve become more protective of those moments as I’ve gotten older. Not everything beautiful needs to become content. Not everything sacred needs witnesses. Not every memory needs proof that it happened. There is beauty in mystery. In having pieces of your life that belong only to you and the people who were there. Some of this summer you can see here. And some of it is simply mine. 🤍 And if you’re wondering- I’m still trying to befriend crows. 🙃 Any tips would be received and appreciated!

Monday, if you can. 🤍 Our new standing family dinner. Every Monday, whoever can make it. I started this little Monday tradition as I was anticipating becoming an empty nester and decided I wanted to lean more deeply into my community of friends and chosen family. To make a regular place for gathering, feeding each other, and being part of one another’s lives. Every Monday. If you can.
