Today I take myself on a date 😎

& you, have you ever done it?

Take this as an invitation 🩷

I’m back. 🩷

It’s hard to explain with words what this means.

I haven’t really shared much of what’s been happening here, but I spent a month in India, got a pretty intense intestinal infection, and ended up in hospital.

It became an unexpected invitation to stop.
To slow down. To observe. To let go. To listen.

When I came back to Bilbao, I thought I’d slowly get back to doing all the things I wanted to do.

And then I realised: not yet.

I was still recovering.

So I let myself be in that season.

It felt a little bit like winter. And I didn’t resist it. I didn’t need summer to come sooner.
I just stayed, listened, rested, reflected.

And now… somehow, it feels like I’ve opened the window and suddenly it’s summer. 🌸

The flowers have bloomed.
The work has been done.

And I don’t feel like I need to keep checking on myself every five minutes.

I can trust my body again.
I can eat intuitively.
Move intuitively.

Wake up and simply see what I need that day.

Not because I’m “back to who I was” — I don’t think there is such a thing.

We are constantly changing✨

But I feel back in myself.
Back in connection.
Back in trust.

Like I can finally take the “just in case” things out of my backpack.

And simply walk. 🌿

I’m back.
And it feels really, really good.

THE SWEET FEELING OF SAFETY___

Kookie was birthed out the purpose of bringing more sweetness in a world that, oftentimes, can be extremely bitter and rough.

So we created aesthetically beautiful cookies that draw your attention and within already the first bite, they gift you with a type of comfort we all secretly long; the sweet feeling of safety.

So comforting. So familiar. Magically irresistible.

A longing temporarily satisfied in the shape of a kookie. Intentionally baked as a reminder to give ourselves the permision to enjoy the little pleasures in life, that, for a few moments, remind us what a gift it is to be alive.

With love,
Kookie
