POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

One year ago today, I relaunched BIG FUZZ.

When I pressed “send” on that first post, I remember I was shaking. I was SO scared. Somehow—after 15 years making music professionally and hundreds of collaborations as a producer and engineer—I had LESS confidence than ever in my ability to drive a project creatively.

The night I finished “FEARS” and played it for my fiancee, I remember being pretty emotional. I was just happy I actually got there. After struggling and struggling, I actually fucking finished a song. Me, the guy who doesn’t write songs. The guy who doesn’t play guitar. The guy who doesn’t sing.

Somewhere between then and now, I rediscovered some form of self-confidence. The journey from there to here hasn’t been linear (and I probably bought too many guitars along the way), but I started allowing myself to be creative. Trusting my own vision. Getting out of my own way.

Even though that’s showed itself in all the projects I’ve worked in the last year, I think it’s shown itself more in BIG FUZZ than anywhere else. And THAT is the thing I’m excited to share when the time is right.

Bring on the next year.

After a crazy summer in the rest of my music world—hitting all three coasts in August alone—I’ve been back home and in the lab for most of September.

Over the course of this year, I’ve gone from being really afraid to release anything as BIG FUZZ to really, really excited.

Being an Artist™ is still “new” to me and it’s been a fun journey balancing both the studio and a lot of meetings lately.

But every day the picture starts to get clearer.

Speaking of journeys and meetings, I’m flying back out to BC to attend BreakOut West at the end of the month and would love to connect.

If you’re going to be there… or if you’re not going to be there, and are just curious what I’m working on… DM me or send me an email: bigfuzz (at) bigfuzz.ca.

Maybe I’ll even send you a private link to some new shiii (psst: sound on 🔊)

TTYL,
xo BIG FUZZ

Then it was off to PEI to join Steve Somers and the Redwing Blackbirds as part of the Cloggeroo music festival. But first, a quick stop in Halifax!

Stumbled upon a French music festival.

About to devour some East Coast fare after a long travel day.

Fancy brunch at Drift the next morning.

Setting forth in our rented Dodge Ram. 😂

First time driving over the Confederation Bridge!

Surrounded only by water.

Rehearsals in the coolest old barn-turned-private-bar.

A gorgeous PEI evening.

Incredible sunset.

Steve’s family hosted us at their dairy farm, which has been around for 6 (!) generations. 🐄

Frogs. 🐸

Setting up at the park for an afternoon of music.

We were here, lol.

Almost, but not quite. 😂

A little snippet of the afternoon’s events.

This is how we work in the studio with our amazing producer Anthony Cenerini 🥰🙏

Here we’re working on “Feel” the song that gives title to our debut album! 🥰

It took us a whole year to finish our album FEEL ✨✨ We can’t believe that it’s already out on all platforms. We couldn’t be more proud!! 🥰🌸🌸🌸
