WPO #4 is done...

After a pretty rough training cycle leading into the meet, not bombing out was a win in itself.

It was a decent day overall. I ended up squatting 931lbs which is the most I've done in contest since my knee surgery. I benched 584lbs easily after missing it on my first two attempts. Thankfully Mike @windhamcounty_strength made some adjustments to my shirt before that last attempt and saved me from bombing. Took conservative jumps on deadlift pulled 661 pretty easily on my second attempt secured a 2177 total which was a wpo pr for me. Attempted 694 on my 3rd which would have given me a total pr for the first time since my knee surgery and decided to take a little nap instead of locking it out.

The @worldpowerorg put on a great meet as always. I hope to be able to earn my way back in the coming years.

Thank you to the @anchorathleticsnh crew and everyone that was there to help and support me and the rest of the team on meet day. @moustachiox handled me again at this meet and has been a huge part of my success on meet days.

Thank you to @anthonycw13 for all the help getting me ready to compete and keeping me in check when things aren't going well haha

And as always thank you to my wife @mandaaasue for helping me on all my training and meet days doing anything you can to make me successful.

March 2nd: major knee surgery.
 This Sunday: Anthony competes at the WPO Super Finals at the York Barbell Strength Hall of Fame. It’s his 11th consecutive Worlds, and he’s the only person ever to do that.

In his words:
 “All I have done since the surgery is put 100% effort each day… knowing some will be better than others but as a whole, I’m trending in the right direction.”

He never missed a day of his exercises. Every session with Dr. Steve gave him more confidence to put more load on that knee.

“I hope that someone may see this and believe that they can overcome whatever issue they may be having.”

Go get it, Anthony.
