MILE ___ER_________ not MILL
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Thanks to everyone who came to see my show @shrine.nyc these past weeks!

It was such a privilege to show alongside Anthony Miler’s epic drawings and grid installation. We were not originally scheduled to show at the same time, but I loved the accidental combination of two very different versions of a grid. @anthonymiler 👏

Anthony Miller’s exhibition is a big show of small drawings, an immersive experience for the viewer. These works were made over an 18 year period and are remarkable evidence of ritualized focus and a kind of meditation, depicting animals and human figures that seem to emerge from an altered state of consciousness. Seeing is believing, go see for yourself.

Feeling all the positivity of a perfect Saturday in lower Manhattan. 15,000 steps with @gs_world_ and our hearts are filled with generosity and inspiration. Oceans of thanks super talented artist!

1 & 2. Marin Magic’s discodisco 🪩 at Nino Meir felt like being on DMT / MDMA (summed up the city vibe!)

3 & 4. Dan Perkins and Zuriel Waters “Dawn Chorus” @deannaevansprojects lifts the spirit! 🌞 🎶

5 & 6. Molly Rose Lieberman “The candle is on the table” @theta.nyc. Our first visit to see this amazing work. 🫸✨🫷

7. Catching Ce Roser’s “TEN TO GET READY” at Sebastian Gladstone was a bonus. The dappled light and rainbows captivated!

8 & 9. ❤️ artist talks and seeing Anthony Miler chat about his massive drawing show at Shrine was awesome!

10 & 11. Adrianne Rubenstein inventing all her own painting rules @broadwaygallerynyc. Her “Fruit Business” is pure studio joy. 🥦🍇 🌳 ⭐️

12 & 13. True Colors @freightandvolumegallery Ilse Sorensen Murdock’s delicious colorful framed works are tucked in back. Seeing some mini Meg Brady’s was a nice surprise 😮

14 & 15. Altoon Sultan at Hoffman Donahue. Her tempera on hide parchment stretched over panels are so softly painted. Every color and value shift depicts the gentlest light on farm equipment! 🚜 Swoon.

16 & 17. “Repetition & Seriality” at McKenzie opened Saturday! Seeing Jenny Kemp’s loose green 🪀🎾🍏biomorphic work in person was synesthesia inducing. Rob de Oude’s quantum portals of subtly shifting lines reassured me there is an escape hatch in this timeline.

18. 19. 20. Icebox4 has a solid group show at 128 Rivington. First time seeing Nancy Mladenoff’s gestural abstractions! A rare small Etty Yanov was also a very nice surprise. A bold Don Voisine offered even more shifting perspectives.
