POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

On this third anniversary of the October 7, 2023 attack, we remember all those who were killed and pray for healing for the survivors and all whose lives were forever changed.

Last weekend, we were honored to host Guy Gilboa Dalal, one of the final hostages to be released by Hamas, and his brother Gal to share their deeply personal story of resilience, survival and healing through storytelling and music. Craig, Guy, and Gal each sit in a chair on the stage in front of a screen that reads "Guy and Gal Gilboa-Dalal: Soundtrack to Survival"

We had so much fun painting @altadenagirls we didn’t want to leave! Thanks to the generosity of @sparksofkindess and @artoverhatecollective for making it possible! We used the real notes of encouragement and doodles the girls drew for each other. These notes are all over Altadena Girls, on the walls, hidden in drawers, and they were so touching to me I wanted to blow them up huge #mural #losangelesmurals Thanks for your help @_kristinecampbell @nickmartinezzzzz @anggiez24

@altadenagirls is such an inspiring and creative place to be! I wanted to showcase the girls’ artwork by using their real doodles and blowing them up to create a wallpaper style doodle mural. We also had a fun workshop where girls were able to paint in any doodles I sketched out on the wall. Thank you @sparksofkindess and @artoverhatecollective for making it happen! Thank you artists @_kristinecampbell @anggiez24 @faux.jacquieli @nickmartinezzzzz #mural

This mural represents a message of hope and solidarity for the entire LA fire-affected community. When our shared spaces need care, we respond with care again—rebuilding, restoring, and choosing kindness together.

Thanks to everyone who joined us in person or in spirit on July 30 to stand in solidarity with our community, against antisemitism and hatred, and for a kinder, more connected future in Altadena/Pasadena and beyond.

It meant the world to us to feel the love and to know that we're never alone ❤️. #fightantisemitism #hatehasnohomehere #communitymural #strongertogether #lovewins

I was disgusted and saddened to see symbols of hate painted over our community mural at @pasadenajewishtempleandcenter. But if this incident has shown us anything, it’s that love is louder than hate. The response from the Altadena community has been overwhelming. I was deeply moved by the outpouring of support, kind messages, and offers to help restore the mural. This piece was always meant to be about community, resilience, and hope. Seeing so many people come together to protect those values has only strengthened that message. Thank you to everyone who reached out, showed up, and reminded us that we are far stronger together @latimes @repjudychu @sparksofkindess @artoverhatecollective

I’m a Jewish teenager, and I can’t stop thinking about one wall in Altadena.

A community lost their 100-year-old synagogue in the Eaton Fire. They painted a mural on the one wall left standing that reads “We are all responsible for each other,” a message of hope for the whole neighborhood that burned, not just for them. This week someone covered it in swastikas and the words “Zionism is not welcome.” It’s the second attack on that exact wall this year.

You don’t have to be Jewish to feel this one. Just human.

Send this to one person who still calls this “politics.”

The mural that I produced with @artoverhatecollective and painted by @offwrldmurals for The Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center (as part of their healing process from losing their building to the Eaton Fires) was vandalized with swastikas and anti-Israel graffiti last night.
If you have information about the incident, please contact the detective in charge at hhdoherty@lasd.org
