This one is so confused as to why I’m in and out with a suitcase all the time these days. She’s over it.

2nd time in Cali within a week and continuing to celebrate with @vivmabuni 🥹

In the mayhem of Fall travels and moving homes, I didn’t get to bring a book to this conference, but @jclayville brought 2. 🫶❤️😭

So grateful for everyone who has stood by book tables to distribute UNLIKELY AND ANOINTED!

I meet some of the best humans while on the road!

THIRD TIME in Cali within the week ☀️. But wow… so grateful for my time with @thecausecc and @jennylreeve ! And so honored by those who went directly to local bookstores to grab a copy of UNLIKELY AND ANOINTED ❤️

There’s something so satisfying about an organized stack of books. I had such a beautiful time with @monicarpoland and @thediscoverchurch !

Let’s talk sponges.
A few years ago, my husband, Kevin, started buying these really good sponges, Scrub Daddy and Scrub Mommy. (Thank you, Shark Tank!) Sponges—even good ones—weren’t designed to hold water forever. A sponge that’s never wrung out becomes heavy. It smells funky. It loses its purpose. It can’t absorb anything new.

It’s not a perfect metaphor, but perhaps you find yourself holding the weight of something that was never yours to carry. No one asked if you had the strength to hold it. You never even thought to ask yourself.
