At the beginning of this summer I didn't know a lot of things.

I didn't know it would be my last one with my bestest lil man, Rupert Murdog.

I didn't know how heavy my heart was before that, weighted with longing to spend my time on the planet with those I love instead of drowning in work.

I didn't know that I could love a job and the people I worked with deeply and still decide to leave it in search of the next chapter and space to breathe.

I didn't know how quickly I would find myself in the company of those who speak a language I haven't used enough, or how desperate I've been to talk about the future outside of spirits.

I didn't know I could fall in love with @austin_lloyd just a little bit more, but perhaps my heart really has gotten bigger and stronger from knowing him ❤️

My little corner of the world is quieter without an opinionated pup, and just a bit wider with new adventures

So it goes 🖖🏻

I am daily grateful to have someone who can make me laugh as hard as he can hold me when I cry, and I know he has held whole universes of space for many of the humans in his life.

I am a better human for meeting this one, and I absolutely cannot wait to see where our marital mission takes us.

thanks to @austin_lloyd for figuring out arrangements of parts for a second guitar on our songs. here’s his version of Jojo’s parts from “Home,” but Austin is playing it in standard tuning!!

Austin and I put together videos of his parts for all of our live material, so we’ll have a great resource for whoever has to fill that role in the future 🙏
