Just got home from a hot and heavy few days in Atlanta (with, as usual, few pics to show for it)

Travelled there for the inaugural trade tasting our distributor-partner, @eaglerock_wineandspirits put together. They crushed it. Vibes were high and I got to play the set I mixed for our burning man camp throughout 😆💃🏼🕺

Icing on the cake was running a couple sold out events and catching up with Jon from @auswinelegends and @tre_somms from @benvenusa_wines

First event was a South African wine seminar @perrineswine (got to sign the winemaker wall!), followed by a private members-only tasting @lionsheadclub - what an epic venue (no pics allowed inside though 🤫)

An absolutely amazing, and far too quick, trip. Love me some Atlanta ❤️

Baie dankie, Eagle Rock team and @kellybt_1 @purdysouth @racheeeford for all your hard work 🙏🏼

We couldn’t be more excited to share with you these incredible wines from amazing producers across their portfolio!

Spots are very limited. Give us a call and ask for Dylan, or shoot us an email to lock in your reservation before they’re gone!

Spent a couple days volunteering @texsom and loved every minute of it.

I’ve always heard amazing things about this conference, and damn it lived up to it. Even got a little slap bag in our after hours send off party 😆 (see last slide)

Saw lots of old wine friends, and met plenty of new ones as we hustled to turn seminar rooms and exhibition halls (and polish a few glasses here and there 🫠)

If you’ve never volunteered at a major wine conference, I highly recommend it. You build amazing camaraderie from the sheer load and speed of the work. But in those down times you get to taste insane wines, chat, and meet badass wine pros from around the country (often the best part of the greater experience). You’ll flip rooms alongside Master Sommeliers of Masters of Wine - or with someone just breaking into the industry - and you never know where that convo will go.

BIG thank you to @winejames for the incredible efforts organizing and @texsom for having me!

Patrick Sullivan and William Downie- two incredible southern Australian winemakers, best friends, one specializing in Chardonnay in volcanic soil, the other, Pinot Noir in volcanic soil. Together they are laying the groundwork for Gippsland to become the next important Australian wine region. 2 legendary dudes making sensational expressions of Chard and Pinot- we heard constant comparisons to Burgundy out in the market with them last year. They are coming back to SoCal the first week of September! Please reach out to your rep if you want to be mystified by these wines!

When @auswinelegends said they wanted to host a Sausage Sizzle @decantnapavalley to support Field Blends by @maryamandcompany and @the.vinguard, @chef_mateo317 said "say less, mate!"

Featured in our 25th Waddle wine club release showcasing Italian varieties in wines made outside Italy. This is one of the best wines we’ve tasted all year and we can’t wait to share it with you:

🍷 Chalmers Nero d’Avola

🇦🇺 Heathcote > Victoria > Australia

🍇 Nero d’Avola, 2021

If there’s one native Sicilian grape you’ve crossed paths with, it’s likely been Nero d’Avola. Is it any wonder, with it’s beat-the-heat potential, and growing popularity that we’re starting to find it planted in unlikely places? The Chalmers family has imported over 70 native Italian varietals to their estate vineyard 2 hours north of Melbourne. Heathcote is hot just like Sicily, so it’s no wonder Nero d’Avola is flourishing there with these vines planted in year 2000, and kangaroos as common vineyard pests. A wild whole berry ferment in stainless steel brings forth a succulent, brambly and supremely refreshing wine. Best with a light chill. Try with Wood fired pizza, BBQ lamb chops, or pork Xiao Long Bao.

🚚 Available in our online shop and through our wine club. Link in bio!

📣We’re having a Sausage Sizzle! 🤔What is Sausage Sizzle?

It’s an Aussie tradition; a casual cookout held in public places to raise money for charities, schools, children’s sports and so on. It’s barebones usually - a grilled sausage, lovingly called a “snag," white bread and tomato sauce (actually ketchup).

When Jane Lopes and Jonathan Ross founded Legend 6yrs ago, they set out to not only import Australian wine but a bit of Australian culture too.

Tuesday 7/28 @ 5pm
Sausage Sizzle and Wine Party @ Decant with PLAYTE Kitchen cooking and Jon pouring that good Aussie juice.

Glass & Bottle Specials
Yummy Food
Good Times

Benefiting our besties, Field Blends by @maryamandcompany and @the.vinguard.

No advance tickets, stop on by!
