🧤 The gloves are off!

Outfield cameo and goal for Team Work vs Team Wealth!

This game was organised to highlight the ‘rigged’ economy in favour of wealth in comparison to work - with a goal chalked off for Team Work due to tax and a goal scored for Team Wealth due to interest amongst the interesting twists in the first half.

A wealth tax introduced at half time then levelled the playing field & Team Work ended victorious.

Wealth inequality is growing exponentially - according to Oxfam the richest 1% in the UK hold more wealth than 70% of Britons. Extreme wealth surges at the same time extreme poverty grows. Tax reform is needed.

Don’t get to meet too many millionaires in my line of work… that I know of anyway 😉 However as I’m sure most of you know football is a massive part of my life so taking part in this Tax the Super Rich with @patrioticmillionairesuk @garyseconomics & @barrybarryferns match ahead of the forthcoming budget was a real privilege, privilege being the operative in a game where so much was rigged in favour of the wealthy, the privileged and the established elite. Inherited goals, compound interest, referee @spenfc in the pocket of the wealthy, extra players and even the gall to sign the best opposition players mid game when things were going against Team Wealth. Rather helped as I was between the sticks in the first half for Team Wealth with the opposition Team Work boasting some pretty impressive talent in their ranks. Made a few half decent saves of the “Not bad for an old girl” variety as well as getting fingertips to a couple of the goals. Of course Team Wealth led 5-2 at the break but once the playing field was levelled and star player Gary wised up to switch over to Team Work, the game was turned on its head.
On the serious side we can all see the impact of poverty in the UK with people increasingly forced to food banks & help from charities, from the tent camps around London & the queues for soup kitchens. Every campaign that seeks to address this needs to be supported especially in a world where the average person seems brainwashed to believe that they should oppose such taxation.

As an NHS psychiatrist, I don’t meet many millionaires (although I’ve met a few patients who believe they own the Bank of England)

But I do love football.

So I was honoured to play a charity match for @patrioticmillionairesuk @garyseconomics @barryseconomics

The catch? The game was rigged. TEAM WEALTH inherited a goal, earned interest on goals, had 15 players and a biased ref (with his brown envelope @spenfc can now pay to get his eyes tested)

By half-time, unsurprisingly TEAM WORK were losing 5–2.

Then we levelled the playing field, and played normally. We came back to win and I even bagged a few goals.

Working with homeless people, I see the daily impact of inequality. They say money can’t buy happiness, but poverty certainly doesn’t help. I can offer antidepressants but I really wish I could prescribe food, financial security and a warm home out of the rain.

With billionaires multiplying alongside more tents on our high streets, I’ll happily support campaigns to make society fairer.

And if that doesn’t happen, at least I’ve got footage of me skinning @garyseconomics ⚽️🏆

Big Tax Match! ⚽️🔥 Wealth vs Work

More than just football, it was about raising awareness, addressing the wealth gap, and bringing people together for a bigger purpose. Grateful to be part of something that goes beyond the pitch. One game, one message, one step towards change. 💯 @patrioticmillionairesuk

And yes TEAM WORK WON 🏆

Shout out to @sapphire_mcintosh for getting me on the pitch

Football match for @patrioticmillionairesuk last week. With the wealth gap widening every week we thought why not pit the Wealthy against the Workers and dangle the prospect of winning a free bag of treats from Iceland for the Workers.

It was ‘The Wealthy’ VS ‘The Workers’. Who was mainly YouTubers/influencers etc. Anyways, guess who won? The Workers for once! And i bagged meself a good, clean, nice piece of millionaire so moving out the 8bed as we speak. Ta-ra love 👋🏾👋🏾 thanks to @barrybarryferns for sorting this out, check out his podcast for more on economics @barryseconomics

Man City should be cleared of all charges. I know them and they just wouldn’t do something like this.

Hashtag free Roberto Mancini.

In all seriousness, there’s a big charity football match tomorrow (Friday 8th October) 7pm at the techsoc stadium in Illford! Hosted by @patrioticmillionairesuk and featuring a few celebs and my dear friend @barrybarryferns

The match will raise awareness of the economic fuckery in this country, and the absolute liberties that billionaires (such as these football club owners) take.

Do get yourself down there! Tickets can be found on @hashtagutd and @patrioticmillionairesuk pages. x
