Fox Maxy (Payómkawichum and Iipay Kumeyaay from the Mesa Grande Band of Mission Indians) is an artist and filmmaker whose work spans magical realism, horror, and mystery. Maxy’s style of storytelling explores modern femininity, blending grit and glam. She began her film career through independent and resourceful filmmaking. Her debut feature, Gush, premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, and for 2024-2025 she was honored with the Chanel Next Prize. Her films have screened at MoMA, TIFF, LACMA, and IFFR.

Fox Maxy’s Mental Wellness Film Workshop is designed for anyone interested in visual communication and fostering constructive dynamics within their creative and professional lives, regardless of whether they have a career in film or the arts. She guides participants to move through internal and external barriers that often prevent them from creating or sharing work. Attendees will create their own 1 minute film, navigating the entire process from initial concept and production to editing and screening their work for an audience.

💗🌸Meet the CoffēAddict🌸💗
✨INTRODUCING: Bee ✨

I have been moving since I was young but dance has come to the forefront of my life only within recent years. With my time at The Rose Academy, I started getting in the studio as a burlesque performer and wanted to expand. Hip-hop & dancing in general have always been important to me but I’ve been anxious there’s not a place for me to exist in it. I am finding my footing in different genres of dance, and I hope to become a multi-faceted mover whose style encompassing everything I am and more.
What I’ve learned from this season of coffehouse is that I have found a new sense of being deeply determined to figure things out one way or another. I think last year I was ready to give up when I didn’t perfect something, but I see beauty in the repetition that leads to the outcome. It’s been so much fun practicing in front of my kids, seeing them pick up the dances, and just be that one girl out of the movie scene where she’s doing her choreo on the sidewalk mindlessly. I love it.

Catch Bee and the rest of the CoffēAddictz one night only!! April 4th at HotHouse studio! Get your tickets while you still can‼️

Attention attention!! Season six of coffee house just dropped🌸🤩🪻🤩🌸

Coffē Presents: Movement is medicine

as we slowly unthaw from winter to spring, we remember the things that give us strength and bring us joy. In times like these Joy is resistance, conscience community is resistance, drawing near when everything tells you to isolate is resistance.

Your voice matters, YOU matter, your art matters.

This season wasn’t focused on being the “best” or a show stopping performance it was about being present, allowing yourself grace while being a student, and allowing the progress to speak for itself🤩🌷🌺

When: Saturday April 4th, 7pm
Where: Hothouse studio
