The difference between intentional reps and going through the motions is the difference between good and great.

Those committed to mastery, to developing their skill to show up when it matters most and to view the work they do as art, are the ones you end up innovating and leading an industry forward @uofmdanceteam does just that.

Love how @amandagaines_ makes sure the team understands the impact of their actions both in the short term and long term.

Harmony vs Balance. An important realization I was taught years ago.

Living from harmony brings seasonality, context and intention into the equation.

It helps me look at time less as a black and white construct and more like a never ending dance, where presence is high performance.

Where it’s less about how much time and more about being ON time. With time. On purpose. In this moment.

It’s a skill that will never be fully mastered, but training this muscle can result in greater levels of connection, fulfillment, productivity and engagement.

This is a reframe. When setting goals, it helps to focus on the external things of what you want as a guide post – providing direction and prioritization, but to make the end goal everything would be to set yourself up for failure because nothing is ever over. Your goals, your progress, your journey is never done, until the last breath (and even then probably not done)And once you get the goal, it’s on to the next one.

Goals are needed and helpful when in the right frame.

What’s deeper, is the person you develop into that creates, attracts and achieves that goal. That is a daily practice.

The more goals you achieve and the more success that flows your way, the higher the temptation to veer off track, to loosen the grip on your principles, values and commitments. There is more noise. Higher stakes. More responsibility. It’s easier to get lost.

Having an ideal around who you strive to be day in and day out, produces experiences and outcomes that are in direct alignment with that version of you. This is where you DESIGN your life, by choice.

You no longer fall into the societal pressures or the facade of what success is to the masses, instead you forge your own path. You live in integrity with your own code.

Watch people’s actions over time. Especially positions of authority and influence, this will reveal whether there is integrity or not, whether who they portray themselves as is in fact, who they are.

Mindset is EVERYTHING. As we build 360 All Stars to offer the opportunity for dancers to grow and experience competing at a national and world championship level it’s important to remember that 360 does not focus on the outcomes or placements of a competition.

We focus on the present, the growth, the teamwork, and being on the journey with our dancers and their families for the chance to create and build strong growth minded leaders.

Varsity All Star competitions provides dancers and teams with quality specific feedback by a panel of expert judges, transparent scoring on every routine and category, and all regional competitions are 1 day only. Just imagine no more 3-4 day competitions!!

We provide the opportunity to competitively dance in a different way.

@michaelgervais shared his definition of integrity in a talk I heard years ago and I loved it instantly.

‘Integrity is when your thoughts, words and actions align’. 👀🎯.

Integrity is potency.

There is no trying when you are already living what you are asking others to do. There’s real, genuine truth that shines through in your energy, your eye contact, your body language. That is where the first layer of influence begins. It’s fundamental and essential.

So simple yet requires courage, discipline and commitment.

Look inside first, the lead outward. If you do it the other way around, soon things will fall apart right when you need the foundation the most.

Build intentionally. Build things right so they last.

Build with integrity so no matter how big the storm, you are indestructible.

I am super excited to share that I've chosen to participate in FORGE, an Impact and Transformation Retreat hosted by the legends @james_silvas @markguadagnoli @brandencollinsworth @iamchelseypierce

One of the many reasons why I chose this group is their commitment to SERVICE, giving back to the communities they choose for their experiences. Over the years that I've been attending retreats, I've learned that taking the space to give from the heart amplifies the experience of what we receive back from the lands and the work that's being done in the retreat.

We'll be spending one of our retreat days fully dedicated to service, supporting local children, sustainability and deforestation efforts. Please consider sharing some of your energy to support our mission.

10,000 kicks 1 time or 1 kick 10,000 times? Mastery requires discipline, attention to detail, and consistent effort over time.

It’s hard to focus when there are too many things. Too much noise. Too many opinions. Too many minds.

Simplify to amplify. Do simple, better.

Make the decision.
Enforce the boundaries.
Protect your dreams.
Squeeze as much as you can out of each day.
Fall in love with the every unfolding process.
Do the work.
