Cape Town Marathon 2026 🫶🏽🏃🏽‍♂️

Three years ago I crossed this finish line in 4:40. Two year it was 4:17. This year, 3:57:17.

A 22-minute PB and my first sub-4 marathon.

The goal wasn’t just to run faster. It was to run smarter. I broke the race into checkpoints where I’d see the people who matter most to me.

My mom at 14km.
My brother at 20km.
Lauren at 30km.
My friends and the Full Send crew at 36km.

When things got tough, those moments carried me forward.

The final 6km felt like forever. There were plenty of moments where I wanted to stop.

But every time that thought crept in, I heard Lauren’s voice saying, “You’ve got this.” ❤️

I also remembered something my coach @mikeobery told me: “We’ll put you in a good position with 4 or 5km to go. Then you decide how badly you want it.”

And honestly, I didn’t work this hard to be stopped at the gate.

This marathon reminded me that progress takes time. Three years, countless early mornings, hard sessions, and a lot of belief.

Proof that big boys can run. 🏃🏾

And the scary thing is, we’re only getting started.

Cape Town Marathon Recap

Still not over the buzz of this past weekend but thankfully my body is in a much better place compared to how I felt on Monday 😂

A marathon is a crazy this to do! A constant question running through my mind was “Why am I putting myself through this” in that moment when I am feeling the most uncomfortable.

I try to put my mindset in a place of someone who isn’t able to do this, someone watching from the sidelines who feels inspired, someone who dreams of this and then lastly I think of those who are no longer with us, the ones that would’ve been cheering, our biggest supporters.

I do it for them. 3:57:35🫡

It starts as a workout…
Then it becomes something you don’t want to miss 🥊
The vibe. The people. The push.

If you’ve been watching from the sidelines…
Keep an eye on next week 👀 We have something special coming for April😁
