See you soon

More of this please!

Flat bars, drop bars, big tires, not so big tires, suspension, rigid, lycra, denim, athletic, casual. Thursdays are coed open rides. Not a member? Come out for a trial ride. Looking to join SGCC weekly? Become a member at Squamishgravelcc.com

Rides are intermediate to experienced level rides. All riders may find the route and pace challenging at times. Come join us knowing the route, self supported for any and all obstacles, with lights and necessary repair equipment. Spare layers are strongly recommended for chilly nights and unexpected delays (and of course après!).

Weekly route and ride description can be found on the club strava group page.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

@oneupcomponents just launched their smallest and lightest clip pedal to date, the XC Clip Pedal. In a world of great pedal options, does it stand out?

@bikehackvalade has been riding them for the last 6 weeks, and gives an initial impression today on theradavist.com

A few fine moments 🤍. And some tricky ones too but that’s life and it’s beautiful.

Winch. Plummet. Repeat.

Welcome to @squamishgravel.cc, where gravel rides come with mountain bikes stats.

Last Sunday’s Triple Crown group ride - the brainchild of @lucasgreenough - packed 3,500m of vertical grinding into just 80km. Granny gears were crying, brakes were smoking, but nothing beats speed-tucking into the fog on a 22% descent. It’s gravel the way only Squamish can do it— steep, gruelling, and absolutely ridiculous by default.

Character-building while building community: it’s what SGCC is all about.

Sunday September 14th at 7am a group of cyclists rode into the mountains of Squamish. They set off to complete the 2025 Squamish Triple Crown rain or shine.

With a healthy sense of trepidation the group rolled out accepting that the day may turn into the 2025 Squamish Double… or Single Crown.

A challenging route in and of itself, it’s hard to put into words what the day was like. Layering on the persistent rain in the forecast meant this year’s Triple hit a bit different than years past.

Spirits were high and the desire to push forward together was constant.
The shared commitment amongst the group was palpable.

A big thanks to @lucasgreenough for conjuring up something that inspires us all to get out there together and push ourselves.

Looking forward to next year!

The GRAVEL TRIPLE CROWN IS UPON US

We’re excited to help our friend @lucasgreenough with yet another other Squamish Triple.

PLEASE RSVP AT LINK IN BIO

Ethos:
A day of climbing and descending peaks and valleys. The route is made to be challenging with over 3500m in vertical gain over a relatively condensed distance (75-85km). This makes for a uniquely concentrated day of up and down on the gravel bike.

🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝

Riders are asked to come out with the intention of completing the route. The heart of this annual event lies in the spirit of pushing one’s self beyond what they feel they are capable of in a day. If you do not finish, you will have likely pushed further than you thought you could go and this should be everyone’s goal on Sunday Sept 14th.

It’s not in the spirit of the event to show up planning to only do one climb. Intend to try them all! Maybe you don’t make it, but setting out and digging deep to try and finish is part of the fun and community.

The day is FUN, HARD, SPICY AND ALSO FUN.

All bikes are welcome but we ask that E-bikes do not set pace and please ride mid to back of the group. Please be respectful and mindful of how your riding can influence others’ pace.

Our goal is to keep everyone together and to help those around us see how far they can go. We invite you out to share this goal and experience the Squamish Triple Crown.

Route:
Red Heather > Alpen > Gondola

Meet up location:
Cloudburst Cafe

Start time:
7:00am (rolling no later than 7:15am)

Things to know:
-All riders will be asked to sign a waiver at the start so please try not to be late
-All riders should be self supported (plan to fix your own mechanicals and carry food and water for a big day)
-All riders should show up with the intention of attempting to complete the route (we ask that folks do not come out intending to only do 1 or 2 climbs)
-All riders should plan to ride as a group (start each climb together, finish each climb together)
-The ride is not considered a “no drop” ride as not all will complete the route but we will do our best to keep the group social and together as much as possible.

RSVP AT LINK IN BIO SO WE CAN PLAN ACCORDINGLY THANK YOU
